How to survive a long day:
✨Take it moment by moment✨- It’s easy to experience dread on long days, but take each moment and view it as a chapter. Work intentionally in each chapter, and provide positive praise to yourself when you finish said chapter!
✨Schedule breaks✨-Even a five minute walk, breathing exercise or phone call can change the vibe of the day. Savor the little moments and breathe through the tough ones!
✨Build excitement✨- What are you looking forward to when the day is done? Do you have an hour lunch break where you can window shop? Get a coffee? Can you take five minutes to buy tickets to something fun? Life is short- give yourself something to look forward to!
✨Value check✨- Who am I doing it for/what is the purpose in this day? Sometimes remembering our “why” propels us forward!
✨Gratitude✨- “I have to” ➡️ “I get to”. Remember, everything is fleeting. Take a second to reflect on gratitude!!
✨Time will pass✨- If nothing else, accept that this is a fleeting moment and time will pass. Don’t overly attach to the negative feelings, notice them and breathe through it. Some days are just rough and that’s OKAY. There’s peace in accepting that today may not be the best day.
