Stevens Community Medical Center is a 25-bed critical access hospital, fully integrated health system No one will be denied service due to an inability to pay.

Stevens Community Medical Center (SCMC) is a 25-bed critical access hospital, fully-integrated, healthcare delivery system located in Morris, MN. that provides a broad array of medical, surgical and mental health services. SCMC has a full-service clinic on-site and also a satellite clinic located in Starbuck, Minnesota. Among the services at SCMC they provide an Urgent Care, a behavioral medicine clinic, eye clinic, physical therapy (NovaCare Rehabilitation), infusion therapy, and many more specialty services. SCMC is also home to the Courage Cottage, a 5-bed ‘home away from home’ for specialized care. There is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income. SCMC thrives on patient-centered care and operates as a non-profit 501(c)(3).

The 2026 SCMC First Baby of the Year was born on January 5 at 12:47 am to proud parents, Andrew and Lindsey Lindor of Cyrus, MN! 👶Rosie Marie Lindor was a healthy 8 lbs. 15.6 oz. and 21 in long.

Some legacies are meant to be written in stone.💜

A new paver stone area has been installed outside of the Courage Cottage, following changes from the recent ER expansion. This thoughtfully designed space will create a lasting, meaningful place for visitors and residents to reflect, remember, and enjoy for years to come.

For a donation of $125, you can sponsor an engraved paver in honor or memory of a loved one. Each 6×9 paver will be installed annually outside the Courage Cottage. Order forms can be downloaded from the Courage Cottage webpage and mailed or dropped off with payment.

SCMC dietitian Noelle Syverson reminds us that balanced nutrition and proper hydration are key—especially this time of year. People who maintain a balanced diet often have stronger immune systems and a lower risk of disease. Eating a variety of foods and drinking enough water each day helps ensure your body gets the nutrients it needs.

A simple way to stay on track is to remember to be AWARE this holiday season:
🎁 A – Assess your hunger before eating
🎄 W – Watch portion sizes, especially foods high in fat, sugar, or salt
🎁 A – Stay active as usual
🎄 R – Reduce distractions while eating
🎁 E – Eat slowly and mindfully

It’s the holidays—enjoy them, just remember that everything is best in moderation!
