DAD’S GAME DAY!
To celebrate Father’s Day, we gathered our male residents to visit with each other, play games & eat snacks. We had a volunteer that came in to deal Texas Hold’em and our other table had some pretty clever card tricks up their sleeve! It was a good time for our dads, grandfathers & great grandfathers!

We have a great story to tell!
In April, one of our residents who is a Pastor, agreed to start doing church services. We thought we would give it a try and started the services out in the A Wing lounge. We have had a great turn out for every service. We have graduated to the main dining room, we have Karen Sapsford who volunteered to play piano and we even had a guest singer today! The services are growing & getting better & better! Thank you to Rev. Lora Zink & Karen Sapsford for being a blessing to our residents! Thank you to Virl for singing today & to his wife Connie who did a children’s presentation with one of the granddaughters who was present today.
All residents & families are welcome!
Services are Saturday morning at 10:00 am in the main dining room…the first three Saturdays of the month. Please see our calendar each month for details.

We had fun today doing puzzles & putting on our red, white & blue…but most of all we remembered our veterans who have fought for our freedom!

We had a Mother’s Day Tea today. We served finger sandwiches, coffee, tea & cake. Everyone had a good time, great conversation & took pictures…of course!

What a beautiful day! We thought we would enjoy the sunshine and get our flower boxes ready for planting flowers later in the month. We’re looking forward to many more days outside. Sunshine is good for the soul!

White Horse Ministries in Mendota visited us today. They brought their mini horse, Ellie and their St. Bernard, Joker. Animals are good for the soul and always bring a smile & fond memories! Our residents loved them and our friends from the Gardens joined us too!
