You know, the other day a radio host asked me "what was the most impactful donation you received" I knew right away. Five years ago, while we were completing our renovation, this older fella stopped me in the hallway and asked "are you the guy to talk to that takes donations for the hospital addition?" I said I was. He asked me if I had an envelope. I went and got one and he took some money out of his wallet, placed it in the envelope, and handed it to me. I said thank you. He said, "well aren't you going to open it?". I said, "why sure". He told me that 5 years prior we saved his wife's life and she was still alive. So the $5 bill represented each extra year he has been able to enjoy her company. So, no doubt, the most impactful donation I have ever received!
