Between Saturday’s Drug Take Back and the medications housed in the secure drop-off receptacle at the HCSO, a total of four barrels containing more than 200 lbs. of medication were turned over to the TBI’s Dangerous Drugs Task Force to be destroyed.

Thank you for your help in making sure medications stay out of the water supply and the landfill. By disposing of them properly you prevent misuse of the medications, as well as accidental overdoses.

Hamblen County- Substance Abuse Coalition is hosting a Community Drug Take Back Event. Saturday, October 25, 10-2 Hamblen County Substance Abuse Coalition will team up with the Hamblen County Sheriff's Office and the National Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) We will be collecting and safely disposing of unwanted drugs you might have at home, including opioids and other controlled substances. College Square Mall in the parking lot near McDonald’s, 2550 E Morris Boulevard.
