Frances Audrey Ogilvie
December 11, 1948 - September 30, 2025
Frances “Frani” Ogilvie, 76, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord on September 30, 2025.
Raised in Lynn, Massachusetts, Frani was active in the Jewish Community Center during her youth, loved skateboarding (seriously), and proudly served as president of the Paul Anka Fan Club. A devoted Boston sports fan, she even formed friendships with Bruins legend Bobby Orr and Red Sox player Tony Conigliaro. She also loved spending time at Cape Cod and taking trips to New York City to watch shows on Broadway. Frani graduated from Lynn English High School in 1966—go Bulldogs.
In 1975, Frani moved to St. Petersburg, Florida. She gave her life to the Lord in 1978, a faith that remained her foundation for the rest of her life. She was an active member of Pinellas Park Wesleyan Church, where she enjoyed the fellowship of the Ladies LIFT Ministry and made many cherished friendships. She also attended and participated at Ohr Chadash, a congregation for Messianic Jews, where she found joy in honoring her Jewish heritage while living out her relationship with Jesus. In addition, she spent several years volunteering at the Bay Area Pregnancy Center, serving with compassion and dedication. Frani was known for her simple joys like loving Dunkin’ jelly donuts, her Red Sox, Disney World adventures, and her valued friendships.
Frani worked faithfully for the State of Florida for 30 years, retiring in 2005 before relocating to Eastern Tennessee.
Above all, Frani devoted her life to raising her two daughters as a single mom. She poured her heart into giving them a strong foundation of faith and a home full of laughter. Her humor was quick, witty, and often sarcastic, a signature part of her love. Later she embraced her greatest joy—being “Grammy” to her beloved grandchildren.
Frani was preceded in death by her parents, Irving and Sadie Rosenthal, her sister, Judith Gilbert, and her very best friend, Janis Cooper. She is survived by her daughters, Haley Hardesty (Scott) with children Bryce (Mallory) and Avery, and Nicole Campbell (Jonathan) with children Jackson and Kanda, as well as her niece, Marsha DiDomenico.
Haley and Nicole would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Oakwood Senior Living and Gentiva Hospice of Knoxville for their loving and compassionate care.
