Dasan, a devoted father, proud Papaw, loving partner, and loyal friend, passed away surrounded by those who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandi Randolph; his father, David Stubblefield; and his grandparents, Papaw Ray and Mamaw Nadine Carmichael.

He is survived by his children, Jennifer Stubblefield-Atkins, Dillon Stubblefield, and Emily Stubblefield; his beloved grandchild Boone Atkins; his loving partner, Cindy Bird; her children, Jacob and Haylee Bird; and many extended family members and friends who will continue to honor his memory.

He was a hardworking man who built a life rooted in dedication and pride, leaving behind a lasting legacy through his business, 865 Designs. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family, always showing what it meant to truly work hard for the life you want.

Above all, he was the best daddy to his three children Jen (Mason Atkins), Dillon (Destany Smith), and Emily. A role he cherished deeply. Becoming a Papaw to his first grandbaby quickly became his favorite title, and the love he had for them was unmatched.

He was also a loving boyfriend to Cindy, and he cared deeply for her children, Jacob and Haylee, treating them as his own and embracing the life they built together.

He was someone you could always depend on—steady, reliable, and always willing to lend a hand. Known for his sense of humor, he was a true jokester who could make anyone laugh. He found joy in the simple things: riding in his old truck, cooking good food, spending time with the people he loved, and helping others whenever he could.

He will be remembered as a great friend, a strong provider, and a man with a big heart who left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.

He is deeply loved and will be missed more than words can express.

Visitation with his family will be on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm. Family and friends will gather at Hamblen Memory Gardens at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 30, 2026 for graveside services.

Charlene Faye (Rymer) Barnard “Nanny”

In the early morning hours of April 24, 2026, our dear mother was welcomed into the open arms of her Lord and Savior, in whom she had placed her trust long ago, and was reunited with her beloved husband of 39 years, Buford.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James Paul and Charlsie Mae Rymer; her brothers, Paul Dale Rymer and John Wayne Rymer; and her sister, Edna Lynn Morgan.

She is survived by her children: sons Mark (Tina), Wayne (Cynthia), Robert (Jodi), and Jason (Diane) Barnard; and daughter Amanda (Matthew) Gent. Her grandchildren: Heather, Markus (Kendi), Chris, Seth, Aaron, Brayden (Madison), Matthew, Hannah, Nicholas Barnard, Camdyn and Elijah Gent. Her great-grandchildren: Ella, Elliott, and Everleigh Barnard.

She is also survived by her brother, Donald Carroll Rymer; Johnny’s wife, Dorothy Rymer; along with many nieces, nephews, and countless children she lovingly cared for—each of whom knew her simply as “Nanny.”

She was a faithful member of Statem Gap Missionary Baptist Church for many years, until her health no longer allowed her to attend. She later joined Enterprise Missionary Baptist Church with her son’s family, where she remained a devoted member until she went to her Heavenly home.

Her life was devoted to loving and caring for her family—her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and the many who simply knew her as “Nanny.” With a gentle heart and open arms, she made each person feel seen, cherished, and at home. Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those she touched through the love she so freely gave.

We will cherish our memories with her and love her forever.

Her family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 28, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Lance Cummings and Rev. Benny Jones officiating.

Family and friends will gather in Hamblen Memory Gardens on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at 12 Noon for graveside services.

John was the only member of his family to be born in America. His family immigrated to Detroit from Budapest Hungary. His Hungarian roots were very important to him. He spoke fluent Hungarian and loved Hungarian cuisine.

He was an incredibly loving husband, a devoted father and grandfather, and a truly supportive and kind man.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Paul and Sara Báldy; sisters: Sara (Joe) Renvez and Catherine Kati Báldy and brother: Captain Paul Báldy, and many extended family members from Hungary and Detroit.

He is survived by his wife Mary; sons: Paul Báldy and Evan (Jamie) Báldy. Grandchildren: Jon Robert, Carter, Emma and Mason Báldy. Special niece: Zsuzsi and a host of other nieces, nephews and cousins, along with a large extended family in Budapest Hungary. Special sister-in-law: Janet Schultz, and other in-laws: Mike (Patti) Schultz, Dave Schultz, Ken Schultz, Bob Schultz, Tom (Natalie) Schultz, Margaret (Mark) Bennett and Judith (Ron) Grennier.
Alongside his ALPS family. He especially cherished his Alps Angels, who meant so much to him. Over the past two years, ALPS became what he often called ‘his favorite place in the world.’”

Receiving of friends will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Stubblefield Funeral Home.

A Funeral mass will be held at Holy Cross Hungarian Roman Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan at a later date.
