Staff Spotlight & Retirement Tribute: Sabrina Edmunds, RN

This March, we celebrate an incredible milestone — 15 years with the Vein Institute of NJ — for someone who has shaped the heart of our Outpatient Procedure Suites.

Sabrina Edmunds, RN, has served as Director of Nursing for the Clifton Suite, leading daily operations, overseeing patient care, ensuring clinical compliance, and guiding her team with unwavering strength and compassion.

Sabrina began her nursing career in 1984 at St. Barnabas Medical Center in the cardiac and vascular arena, building a foundation in critical care and catheterization lab medicine. She brought that deep clinical expertise to our organization 15 years ago — and elevated every standard along the way.

When asked what best describes the Group, Sabrina chose one word: Empathetic

That word describes her perfectly.

Dr. Clifford M. Sales shared in his retirement letter: “In all the years I have had the honor of working alongside you, you never once placed anything above the good of the patient …You were ‘patient-focused’ long before the term became a commonplace slogan.”

Sabrina stood tallest in the most challenging moments. Her clinical judgment, leadership, and steadfast advocacy for patients earned the deepest respect of physicians and staff alike.

She will officially retire on May 1st, and while we are profoundly grateful for her 15 years of service, she will be deeply missed by our patients, physicians, and team.

In retirement, Sabrina looks forward to traveling without time constraints, gardening, building furniture, and enjoying peaceful moments at the lake and in the mountains.

From all of us at the Vein Institute of NJ — and from every patient whose life you touched — thank you, Sabrina!

Swelling in your legs at the end of the day?
Aching, heaviness, or visible veins?

These aren’t “just tired legs.” They could be early signs of Chronic Venous Insufficiency (CVI).

When vein valves stop working properly, blood pools in the legs — leading to discomfort, skin changes, and even ulcers if left untreated.

The good news? Vein disease is treatable — especially when caught early.

Don’t ignore the warning signs.
Schedule your vein evaluation with Vein Institute of NJ today.

Your legs will thank you. 🦵✨
