We are excited to welcome Dr. Sohum Trivedi to the New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute team!

Dr. Trivedi is a child neurologist and epilepsy specialist with advanced fellowship training from Thomas Jefferson University and Nemours Children’s Health. He brings a deep commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care for children with epilepsy, headaches, ADHD, and autism.

💛 October is Spina Bifida Awareness Month 💛

Spina bifida is a type of neural tube defect that occurs when the spine and spinal cord don’t form properly during early development. It can affect mobility, muscle strength, and bladder or bowel control — but with early diagnosis, surgery, and ongoing therapy, children with spina bifida can thrive and lead active, meaningful lives.

At New Jersey Pediatric Neuroscience Institute (NJPNI), spina bifida care is one of our key specialties. Our neurosurgical and neurological teams work closely with families to provide comprehensive, compassionate treatment that supports every child’s growth, independence, and quality of life.

This month, we recognize the courage of children and families living with spina bifida — and we remain committed to advancing care and awareness for this condition. 💛
