Jamie Morris, MD Dr. Jamie Morris is a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist (fertility specialist) at RMA New Jersey. She then came to RMA in 2002. She received her B.A.

Dr. Jamie Morris became interested in Reproductive Endocrinology while she was an OB/GYN seeing the effect an infertility diagnosis would have on her patients. “It would come as a shock. No one expects to have fertility problems,” she says. “It’s a different diagnosis medically, emotionally, and psychologically.”

Seeing infertility specialization as a way to give more of herself to her patients, Dr. Morris left her private practice to undertake a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology. Dr. Morris is a board certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, Obstetrician and Gynecologist who serves as Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Science at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. She completed her fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington, and her internship and residency programs at Saint Barnabas Medical Center, working directly with RMANJ’s founding partners. Dr. Morris then joined Associates in Obstetrics and Gynecology, in Livingston, NJ, where she saw patients privately. in Biomedical Engineering from The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and her M.D. from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia.

“I love working here because I can get my patients pregnant,” says Dr. Morris. “We offer them daily physician face time, plus the benefit of great technology, great clinical care, and all of the latest advantages. It’s the best of all worlds.”

"How do you even say thank you for something like your children? RMA New Jersey-Morristown gave us the most beautiful gift by allowing my husband and I to be the last family enrolled in Helping Heroes Build, a program that helped Active Duty Military families through IVF. We have the most beautiful son and daughter from our journey with Dr. Morris, Nurse Dana and the whole team in Morristown. Our family is now living in Japan on a military assignment and our RMA babies are having an amazing childhood in the Land of the Rising Sun."

Today is National Women Phsyicians Day celebrating the first woman in America to receive her medical degree, Elizabeth Blackwell.

I knew I wanted to be a doctor at the age of 8. I do not remember ever wanting to be anything else when I grew up. Thanks to the sacrifices, strength, and perseverance of women like Elizabeth Blackwell, I was able to not only have this dream but to know that it was attainable. I cannot imagine how difficult this journey was for her and other early female physicians, and I am grateful for the road they paved for the rest of us. Helping my patients build their families is so rewarding. I couldn't imagine another career path that would have been as fulfilling.
