Kelly Sutliff, LPC

Kelly Sutliff, LPC Psychotherapist (LPC) working with adults, adolescents, families, and couples. Also, as an ACS, I provide supervision for LACs pursuing licensure.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor working with adults, adolescents, and families, I provide a safe, non-judgmental place for you to express yourself freely. Within a trusting, confidential, and empathic environment one can manage challenging issues and find a way towards self improvement and further growth. Not only do I work with adults, but I also specialize in working with adolescents. I have over 15 years of professional experience working with adolescents in a variety of settings. I provide them with support, guidance, and encourage self determination to help them reach goals that are important to them. My goal is to both empower and challenge you to increase self-awareness, develop insight, and learn healthy ways to cope with life's challenges. Through self-exploration we can implement positive, healthy changes which are necessary to facilitate healing and growth. I am also an Approved Clinical Supervisor and provide supervision services to future Licensed Professional Counselors. I welcome the opportunity to speak with you.

You never know what someone is carrying.
The grief they don’t talk about.
The exhaustion they hide behind a smile.
The strength it takes just to get through the day.

Kindness is never wasted.
Sometimes it’s the one moment of softness someone receives all day.

At Thrive Therapy Services we believe healing begins in spaces where people feel seen, supported, and safe.

Be gentle with people.
Most are fighting battles you cannot see. 💜🌱

Today something incredibly beautiful happened.

One of our dogs went home with a survivor.

Tonight he will be lying in his new home beside a woman who once lived in fear, now standing in her power with a protector by her side. He’ll soon learn the sounds of her home, the rhythm of her life, the people he will now guard with unwavering loyalty for the rest of his life.

Our survivor traveled from out of state to train with Kelly and Bobby this week. For days they worked together from morning to night. Training. Learning. Building trust. Preparing for the responsibility of handling a protection dog.

And something powerful happened as the week unfolded.

With every session her smile grew. Her confidence grew. You could see the shift happening right in front of us. The quiet weight survivors carry starting to lift.

This is why we do this.

Protection dogs are not just dogs. They are safety. They are freedom. They are the ability to sleep through the night. They are the ability to walk through the world knowing you are not alone anymore.

Today is the first day of her new life.

She has committed to continuing her training and will be traveling back to work with us so their bond can continue to grow. And we cannot wait to watch their partnership deepen.

This is Stella’s legacy at work. 💜🐾

To everyone learning how to trust themselves again —

You are the work.
You are the investment.
You are worth the effort.

Rest when you need to. Regroup when you have to.
Just don’t abandon yourself in the process. 🌱💜

Healing isn’t always big breakthroughs. Sometimes it’s lighting a candle, taking a walk, choosing joy in small moments, and remembering your life belongs to you. You don’t need permission to build a life that feels soft, safe, and beautiful. This week, romanticize your healing. Choose what feels grounding and true to you. Your nervous system deserves joy too. 💜🌱

No survivor should have to beg for safety.
Protection is a right, not a request.

Front page.

Not because this story is easy to tell, but because it needs to be told.

From surviving in silence to standing in purpose.
This never would have happened without the people who believed in me when I couldn’t, especially Bobby Gierla from , who doesn’t just breed and train dogs, but helped me rebuild trust, strength, and safety when I had lost all three.

Every scar, every step, every dog led here, especially because of Stella.

This is for every survivor who feels alone and powerless. You aren’t. And this isn’t the end of your story. I’m living proof of that.

Sometimes the most healing reminder is the simplest one.
Pause. Breathe. Stay.
This moment won’t last forever — even when it feels heavy.

Today we honor Martin Luther King Jr. and his unwavering commitment to nonviolence, dignity, and leading with love.

At Kelly’s K9s, we believe true strength is rooted in compassion, presence, and trust. Safety can be built without fear and protection can exist alongside empathy.

May we continue to move forward with courage, humanity, and the quiet strength that creates real change.
