Today is Maternal Health Awareness Day.
Maternal health is about more than pregnancy and birth. It’s about access to quality care before, during, and after pregnancy, being heard by providers, and having the resources needed to stay healthy.
Too many people in the U.S., especially Black and Indigenous mothers, face preventable complications due to gaps in care and systemic inequities. Improving maternal health means expanding access to comprehensive, respectful, and patient-centered care.
Everyone deserves the chance to experience pregnancy and parenthood safely and with dignity. stands with our allies and community partners who lead this work in our communities.
