Morristown’s athletes know who to trust.
For over 25 years, Rehab Group has been on the sidelines, in the gyms, and behind the scenes helping athletes recover, perform, and play at their best.
We proudly provide sports medicine coverage for both Morristown high schools, all Hamblen County middle schools, and Walters State Community College.
From sprains to serious injuries, we’re here to evaluate, treat, and guide recovery. We even offer free injury assessments to help you get back in action fast.

*Meet Tim Utt, ATC
Tim Utt has been with Rehab Group and has served as the Certified Athletic Trainer for Morristown East High School for over two decades. He also provides coverage for East Ridge, Meadowview Middle, and Walters State Community College.
A Jefferson County native, Tim is certified through NATA and has been licensed in Tennessee since 2000. He's also a health sciences teacher at Morristown East and a Basic Life Support instructor with the American Heart Association.
*Meet Jeremy Emmons, ATC
Jeremy Emmons has been with Rehab Group since 2011 and serves as the Certified Athletic Trainer for Morristown West High School. He also provides coverage for Lincoln Heights, West View Middle, and Walters State Community College. He also teaches health sciences at Morristown West.
Originally from Lyons, Kansas, Jeremy brings a strong background in collegiate sports medicine from his time at Maryville College and Carson-Newman University. He holds degrees from Sterling College and the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
*Meet Matt Barnes, DPT, OCS, ATC
Dr. Matt Barnes, co-owner of Rehab Group, brings over 30 years of rehab and sports medicine experience to the team. A Morristown West High School and Carson-Newman University graduate, he earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Neumann University and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy.
Matt’s career includes working with Carson-Newman University, the Toronto Blue Jays, and even the New York Yankees, but his heart has always been in Morristown. A proud local, he’s passionate about giving back to the community that shaped him and continues to be a leader in sports medicine right here at home.
He also founded the sports medicine program at Morristown East High School and remains dedicated to helping athletes of all levels stay healthy and strong.
*Meet Chris Cole, PT
Chris Cole, co-owner of Rehab Group, has been a dedicated physical therapist serving the Lakeway area for over 30 years. A Morristown East High School and Carson-Newman University graduate, Chris was a two-sport college athlete and has spent his career helping athletes and active individuals thrive.
Born and raised in Morristown, Chris is deeply committed to giving back to the community that gave him his start. He remains active and instrumental in the growth and success of Rehab Group’s sports medicine programs throughout the region.
*Meet Ashley Dewey, PTA
Ashley Dewey has been part of the Rehab Group team since 2011 and brings 14 years of experience in physical therapy. A proud Morristown native, Ashley is passionate about giving back to the community she grew up in by helping local athletes recover, rebuild, and return to the sports they love.
Known for her energy, encouragement, and strong background in sports, Ashley brings a deep understanding of athletic rehab and a commitment to helping athletes come back stronger.
