Full Testimonial: 🤍

Amanda helped me trust my body and I cannot thank her enough for her support that led me to have an extremely empowered birth experience.

Amanda was recommended to me through a friend who’s friend had a great experience with her. I was not sure if I wanted a doula, because I had hired a different doula for my previous birthing experience and felt that I had been let down. I am SO glad I took the advice of my friend because Amanda was incredible.

When Amanda came to the hospital she shifted the whole energy. She could sense when anxiety was creeping into my head and she grounded me every time. Amanda made sure I felt empowered - even in a strict hospital setting that would not allow me to use wireless monitoring. She provided multiple options for movement, supported my decisions, and guided me through the final pushing.

I am so grateful for her presence and support. I believe she is a big part of the reason I had the birthing (and great recovery) experience that I have always wanted. I highly recommend using Mindful Birth and can’t thank Amanda enough for the positive experience.

Breastfeeding is natural… but that doesn’t always mean it feels intuitive at first.

So many mothers are surprised by how much learning happens in those first hours and days after baby arrives.

The good news is that a little preparation during pregnancy can make a huge difference in how confident and supported you feel when the time comes.

In our Mindful Breastfeeding class, we walk through what to expect in the early days, how babies instinctively find the breast, positioning that supports a deep latch, and how to create a calm feeding environment for both you and your baby.

If you’re planning to breastfeed and want to feel more prepared before your baby arrives, we would love to support you.

Join us for our upcoming class on March 26th.

International Women’s Day 🤍

Every time I step into a birth space, I’m reminded how powerful women truly are.

I witness women move through doubt, strength, surrender, instinct, and courage — and then meet their baby on the other side of it all. 🌎 💪🏼

Birth is raw.
Birth is transformative.
Birth is powerful.

It is an honor every single time to stand beside women as they welcome their babies into the world.

To every woman preparing for birth, walking through motherhood, or supporting another woman along the way — today we celebrate you.

Women supporting women is one of the most powerful forces in the world.

Happy International Women’s Day.

Some births become healing.

This mama had a previous experience where she felt let down by the support she had.

Going into this pregnancy she wasn’t sure if hiring a doula agin was the right choice.

But during her labor she found something incredibly powerful- trust in her body.

Even in a hospital setting with limitations, she stayed grounded, moved in waste that supported her labor, and welcomed her baby feeling empowered.

These are the births that remind me why this work matters so much.

Induction changes the starting point — not your strength.

When waters break and contractions don’t begin, Pitocin can help labor find rhythm. But how that experience feels depends far more on preparation and support than on the medication itself.

This birth wasn’t powerful because it avoided intervention.

It was powerful because she stayed connected, informed, and supported through it.

Induction is a tool.
Not a failure.
Not the end of your birth vision.

And when a woman feels safe, even in a hospital room on Pitocin, her body still knows how to birth.

Affirmations aren’t about pretending birth is easy.

They’re about training your mind to stay steady when intensity rises.

Your nervous system listens to what you repeat.

Save these for pregnancy.

Whisper them in labor.

Share with someone preparing for birth.

She didn’t arrive fully dilated by accident.

She labored at home.
She trusted the rhythm.
She moved when her body asked her to move.
She rested when it called for rest.

By the time she walked through the hospital doors, her body had already done the work.

This is what happens when early labor is protected.

When a woman feels safe.
When oxytocin can flow.
When she isn’t rushed or pressured to “be further along.”

First-time mom.
Fully dilated on arrival.
Twenty-eight minutes later, her baby was in her arms.

Preparation matters.
Environment matters.
Trust matters.

If you’re preparing for birth, don’t underestimate the power of staying home while it’s still safe to do so.

So often we’re told that labor is unpredictable, chaotic, or something that just “happens” to you.

But birth is deeply responsive.

Responsive to safety.
Responsive to support.
Responsive to environment.
Responsive to the nervous system.

Jordan’s birth unfolded calmly and efficiently not because of luck — but because of preparation.

She built a foundation before labor began.

She practiced breath.
She understood rest.
She trusted movement.
She surrounded herself with steady support.
She protected her environment.

When a woman feels safe, her body can open.

When she feels supported, she can surrender.

When she feels undisturbed, labor can progress the way it was designed to.

Birth isn’t about controlling every outcome.

It’s about creating the conditions where your body can do what it already knows how to do.

Preparation makes that possible.

If you’re expecting and want to walk into birth feeling calm, confident, and supported — we’d love to guide you. 🤍

Jordan’s birth was calm, grounded, and deeply supported.

Watching her trust her body was an honor.

Birth works best when a woman feels safe 💜
