March is Women’s History Month, and to honor women’s contributions to American history we are excited to bring back our Women in Design series. Our first feature, Leta Sobierajksi, is a multidisciplinary designer known for her diverse, maximalism art “ranging from conventional identities to brilliantly bizarre compositions.” Her art is unique and uses bold, punchy colors that make it stand out. Her hope is to bring forth “emotion” in people through her art – that it will evoke some type of deeper reaction. Featuring Hélène Baum-Owoyele, an Afropean illustrator and graphic designer known for her colorful & vibrant images that draw inspiration from her environment and personal history. Her diverse background has impacted her art and has helped her to look at things from multiple points of view. Mythology, black culture, art, textiles, books, and nature are also big factors in the influence of her designs. International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the achievements of women, as well as a call to action for a gender equal world. is this year’s campaign theme, with the mission to challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion. Being that Smith Design is a certified WBE & WSOB business rooted in mentoring and supporting women and minorities to encourage confidence and instill the tools to succeed, we are committed to helping .

We updated Brer Rabbit's brand equities to achieve a farmer’s market, homemade aesthetic. This includes a refresh of the Rabbit itself. Our Rabbit has evolved to be fluffier and more friendly, evoking a feeling of sincerity.
