Did you know? 👀

We have a team of staff on call 24/7, every day of the week.

When one of our Recovery Coaches gets a page, they respond directly to the Emergency Department at Copley Hospital… meeting people navigating substance use and recovery right at the bedside with compassion, support, and real-time information.

No judgment. Just care, connection, and options when it matters most 🤝

🔦 Staff Spotlight Series

We’re so excited to keep highlighting the incredible people who make our center what it is each day 💛

Next up is Christi (she/they), one of our amazing Marketing Coordinators & Recovery Coaches 🌟

A Day in the Life of Christi (Wednesday):

- Served as our notetaker during the staff meeting, keeping everyone on track and capturing all the important updates 📝

- Sorted and set up wound care materials for our free Community Health Vending Machine kits 🩹 (this is what you see pictured!)

- Reviewed website updates, making sure the online calendar matches what’s printed and everything is up to date 💻

- Received acupuncture… free and happening every Wednesday at noon! ✨👂

- Prepared to meet with their first coaching participant — yay! 🥳

- Always working on the newsletter in the background, keeping the community informed and connected 📰

Most excited about: Recover Outside! 🌱

Fun fact: Their current favorite movie is the new Frankenstein 🧟‍♂️ (they are also a LOTR fan 😍)

We’re so grateful for Christi’s dedication, organization, and heart… thank you for all you bring to this team and community every day! 🎉

👏👏👏 We just received our first entry for the Recover Outside Series!

It’s so simple:

- Show up to a Recover Outside Event (Run Club, Gardening Club, Walk Club, etc.)
- The event facilitator will give you a slip to fill out
- They’ll initial it and add it to the collection

At the end of the season, we’ll draw a few winners for prizes 🤩

It can almost be infuriating to be told to “try grounding” when life feels completely unmanageable.

But there’s a reason it’s talked about so often… because it works.

Grounding brings you back to the here and now.
And for a moment, all the “what ifs” aren’t quite so loud.

What grounding techniques have actually worked for you? 🌿
