Effective Friday, July 29th, 2022, Pfeiffer Institute Reach will be closing due to the Pfeiffer University Marriage and Family Program - RDU Campus closure.
Client records will be kept at Pfeiffer University’s Office of the Registrar located on the Misenheimer Campus, Administration Building, Ste. 226. Records will be retained ten (10) years and then the files will be properly destroyed. If children under 18 years of age received therapeutic services, their files will be destroyed ten (10) years after the child has turned 18 years old. For example, files for children who were eight years old during treatment would be kept for eighteen years (18) – ten years to their eighteenth (18th) birthday and the requirement of ten (10) years before destroying. For future requests of client records, please contact the Office of the Registrar. In accordance with Article 29 of Chapter 90 of the North Carolina General Statues, the maximum fee for each request for client records shall be seventy-five cents (75¢) per page for the first 25 pages, fifty cents (50¢) per page for pages 26 through 100, and twenty-five cents (25¢) for each page in excess of 100 pages to cover copy and transmittal costs.
