We are thrilled to announce that Susan Whatley, MSN, APRN, FNP-C has been selected as Health Equity Leader of the Year at the 2026 Health Care Champion Awards, presented by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The Health Care Champion Awards honor frontline health care heroes alongside some of the industry’s most innovative and influential leaders.

This recognition comes at a particularly meaningful time, as our organization celebrates 10 years of service, beginning this April. For a decade, the clinic, under Susan's leadership, has remained committed to advancing health equity and expanding access to quality care in our community.

With branding on billboards (you might even recognize one of the faces 😉), radio ads, and digital marketing, we are working to raise awareness about the need to bridge a critical gap in healthcare for the more than 1.2 million Georgians who lack health insurance.

A huge thank you to Arnav Katikaneni, Georgia Tech student and volunteer, for leading this effort. With the support of the GT EduCare club and our dedicated providers, the first class was successfully held today!

We are excited to see the positive impact these classes will have on our patients and look forward to many more sessions ahead.

Our clinic locations provide free high-quality care for uninsured patients at an average cost of less than $10 per patient encounter, just 8% of the cost of an average Medicaid visit.
