In addition, their grief resources will support you in the weeks and months after you experience a death in your family. Vietnamese funerals/burials, green burials options, life celebrations, and other more creative options available. At the on-site crematory, the funeral professionals practice the utmost attention in taking care of deceased. Also the funeral planning staff works tirelessly to make the service special and specific for your family. Scroggs Funeral Directors would like to thank you for trusting our services for over 60 years! Many of you in the community know of the passing of Thomas L. We not only lost a benevolent funeral director, but we lost a husband, a father, a confidant, a leader and a friend. Thomas’ calling in life was to help families in their darkest times and he accomplished that by not only showing sympathy for the family, but by compassionately leading the family through the funeral process. As our leader he trained each of us to work with the families, who put their trust in us, in the same caring way. Scroggs passed away on December 7, 2021. It was Kevin's goal to carry on the family legacy, but now he has left that calling with us. In 2023 Scroggs Funeral Home Directors was purchased by Brian Poole, of Poole Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. Brian's 33 years of distinguished service in the funeral industry sparked a visionary approach to funeral services. He has been driven by an unwavering commitment to excellence and a passion for serving families with dignity. Brian Poole is dedicated to the very highest principles of dignity and service created by the founder, Thomas L. Scroggs and the Scroggs' Family. He plans to carry on the mission of serving the Morrow and all of Metro Atlanta communities. Please call us today, we are looking forward to meeting with you! 770-961-2828

Our Story

Many of you in the community know of the passing of Thomas L. Scroggs on June 24, 2014. The family and staff would like to express our gratitude for all the expressions of sympathy we have received during this difficult time. We not only lost a benevolent funeral director, but we lost a husband, a father, a confidant, a leader and a friend. Thomas’ calling in life was to help families in their darkest times and he accomplished that by not only showing sympathy for the family, but by compassionately leading the family through the funeral process. As our leader he trained each of us to work with the families who put their trust in us in the same caring way. Thomas has gone to his heavenly home, but he has left behind a legacy to be carried on by his wife, children, and trusted staff. Linda Scroggs has been involved in the funeral business for over 50 years and is now continuing to work alongside her son, Kevin, who serves as general manager , her daughter, Keisha, who serves as office manager, and her daughter-in-law, Margie who serves in records processing. This funeral home is and will continue to be a family owned establishment. Kevin has been working in the family business for the past 28 years and has been serving as manager of Thomas L. Scroggs Funeral Directors for the past 6 years. Although Kevin has always felt empathy for the families he has served, the passing of his father has lead to a deeper understanding of the toll a loss has on a family. His own loss has lead him to be a more altruistic funeral director, which is what the funeral industry needs. The Scroggs’ family provides service beyond expectation with a name trusted for generations. Our goal is to serve you; ensuring that your family will feel a part of ours. We are dedicated to the very highest principles of dignity and service during these difficult times. We welcome all faiths and religions with reverence and compassion. We are here to guide you through the process of making final plans; helping you to determine what is best for you and your loved one. This is the way we have always served our community and this is how we will continue to serve our community.
