We not only lost a benevolent funeral director, but we lost a husband, a father, a confidant, a leader and a friend. Thomas’ calling in life was to help families in their darkest times and he accomplished that by not only showing sympathy for the family, but by compassionately leading the family through the funeral process. As our leader he trained each of us to work with the families, who put their trust in us, in the same caring way. Scroggs passed away on December 7, 2021. It was Kevin's goal to carry on the family legacy, but now he has left that calling with us. In 2023 Scroggs Funeral Home Directors was purchased by Brian Poole, of Poole Funeral Homes & Cremation Services. Brian's 33 years of distinguished service in the funeral industry sparked a visionary approach to funeral services. He has been driven by an unwavering commitment to excellence and a passion for serving families with dignity. Brian Poole is dedicated to the very highest principles of dignity and service created by the founder, Thomas L. Scroggs and the Scroggs' Family.
