When it’s National Assisted Living Week and Pumpkin Festival Week here in the Pumpkin Capital of the World… you switch gears and go with the pumpkins! 🎃

This afternoon, we took a group of residents to the Morton Pumpkin Festival. We enjoyed bingo, pie, and one of our favorite local banjo groups. It was such a joy to be part of the festivities and spend time out in our community.

A huge shout-out to the event sponsors and the Morton Chamber for making it all possible! 🍂🧡

🎈 Balloons aren’t just for floating today — we found all kinds of fun using them for games! The Pink Team went undefeated, and Marge came out as the biggest winner. There was plenty of laughter (and lots of hot air 😉).

Afterward, we enjoyed delicious pumpkins donuts generously brought by Compassus Hospice Care as we reminisced about sweet memories of past Pumpkin Festivals. 🍩🎃💛

🌞🐾 Yesterday was an adventure! We headed to Bloomington to visit the Miller Park Zoo, and it was an absolutely beautiful day. Residents enjoyed seeing so many animals and, even better, sharing the experience together.

On our way home, we stopped at Parkview Inn and treated ourselves to a delicious lunch. What a perfect day full of laughter, friendship, and memories! ❤️🍽️

✨ Today kicks off National Assisted Living Week! ✨

When I found out this year’s theme is Ageless Adventures, my mind kept going to the movie Up. So, our week is inspired by that story—complete with a trip to the zoo, visits from dogs, and of course… balloons, balloons, and more balloons! 🎈🐾🦓

We started the week tonight by gathering in our theater room to watch Up. It’s a movie I’ve always loved—and one my family loves too—but this time it hit differently. I wasn’t just watching a film, I was sitting beside people I’ve come to deeply love, people who have already lived so many adventures and generously shared their stories with me and others.

It is an absolute honor to create new memories with them and to take them on new adventures. 💜

We're excited to welcome TAPS into our community on Tuesday, September 9th from 1-3pm with some adorable adoptable pets!
In addition, from Sunday, September 7th through Saturday, September 13th, we'll be collecting items from the TAPS Wish List. Just drop donations off in our lobby, and we'll deliver them to TAPS the following week.
Come join us for some furry fun and help us support this wonderful organization!

Today our residents and their families had the best time at the Car Cruise-In organized by our sister community, Reflections Memory Care. Our Villas residents were thrilled to join in the fun.

The weather couldn’t have been better, about 20 cars rolled in, and the joy on our residents’ faces said it all. ❤️ A big thank-you to Reflections for hosting such a wonderful event — it was truly a great day for our whole campus community!
