At today’s EmpowerHer event, created by participants were warmly welcomed and encouraged to create connections and lean in to the knowledge that was shared. The experience made me so grateful to live in a community with strong, vibrant and loving people. What's it like being in graduate school at my age? It's amazing, challenging, and exactly where I'm meant to be. I'm pursuing a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling to become a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the near future (~3 years). Currently, I'm learning about various theories applicable to counseling sessions.

My school provides an in-depth perspective on working with others and examining my own wellbeing. The importance of congruence (trained skillset & knowledge, authenticity, and trustworthiness) and developing a strong counselor-client relationship stands out. As a sound therapy practitioner, I'm confident in building strong relationships with clients, and I value acquiring new skillsets and broadening my knowledge through .

Last weekend, I had the opportunity to provide a sound bath at a wellness retreat to support people in recovery. It was truly an honor to be a part of the wellness offerings, and I value the connections and experiences I had at this heartfelt retreat. put together an amazing itinerary and had support from three other WA based recovery organizations.
