Spartan Response Team would like to recognize all of the hard work and dedication today of those who selflessly put their life on the line to protect the communities around them year after year during a wildfire. We would especially like to extend our thanks and gratitude to our crew members, without them we would not be able to do what we do.

For the last few days Leo and the crew have been working in the Boise area on severity work. It just so happens that Tom was assigned to the SAME severity work as our friends from Scholl Fire. They have been lucky enough to work together the last few days and will be lucky enough to work alongside them on the next fire. As of today, Leo and crew will be making their way to California to be assigned to the Dixie Fire. Safe travels everyone!

Today the crew completed their first work day on the Mud Lick fire. Currently they are spiking out where there is little to no service. They were able to get a quick message out this evening to check in and let me know they are doing good. At last update, the fire is 5,270 acres and 0% containment. Full containment is not expected to be reached until August 31st.

With the help of our friends at Fireline Medics we were able to make a little boy's birthday extra special with a drive by with our engine and a vehicle from Fireline Medics. We made sure he also got to cool off by spraying water and seeing how the engine works. If you have a special someone celebrating a birthday, and they would love to have an engine stop, please let us know!

At Spartan Response Team we are more than just a team, we are a family. That family connection extends beyond the connections we form within this job, but also extends to the connections we formed long before Spartan Response Team was formed. As many of you know, we are a veteran owned company. Recently, one of our fellow veteran family members had his daughter flown to Spokane due to an injury and fracture received to her skull. Thankfully from God's guidance with the medical care team and a lot of prayers, she was recently released and is expected to make a full recovery. However, her parents are now faced with large medical bills from her care and from the flight. A fund has been set up to help pay for the medical bills as they come in. If you are able and willing, please follow this link to help a fellow veteran out. Heather McLaughlin & Cory McLaughlin....we got your six.
