People who have big emotions may seem magnetic to you in the moment. But, that same person may not actually be a solid mentor for you.

Someone who is operating from a place of ego and needing to be right about things…

Someone who is feeling a need to call others in their industry out by name and shame them…

Someone who centers their own personal problems or politics in much of their content

This person may not be grounded, mature, or ready to mentor others.

What people who are coming into my spaces seem to need more than anything is nervous system regulation and a soft space to land.

The body only heals when it feels safe. And so when we are in containers where there are political, social, spiritual expectations and pressures—you may learn some information but find your body has actually had a set back.

Someone who is at the place in their journey where they are ready to mentor others are going to have a high level of self-awareness and maturity. And this doesn’t always look flashy. Their content may not be pushed by the algorithm.

But their energy, ego, and intention are in the right place.

This is part 2/3 so check out the other videos in this series.

Everyone thinks they want/need alignment in their life, and while that is a noble goal, if we look underneath it, what our body is wanting is a state of coherence.

Coherence is a a term and a discovery of the Heart Math institute. They are able to measure the biofield of the human heart and determine whether we are in a harmonious state or a state of discoherence.

Coherence is when your heart and your head are in agreement. And from that comes a sense of balance, safety, and groundedness.

Coherence also has physical effects for us, including better HRV, better digestion, clearer thinking.

And coherence is an ultimate goal of having a better regulated nervous system.

But it can feel like another thing on our list of things to do.

That’s why, although breath work, journaling, and many other approaches can work to help create a more coherent state, my favorite way to generate a coherent state is through healing sound.

When we experience the frequencies and timbres of crystal bowls, Tibetan bowls, and gongs, those frequencies can help to create a coherent state by moving stuck energy and emotions out of the body. Drums can help entrain our heart beat to a healthier rhythm. And overall healing sound can bring us into a state where the body feels safe and can go to work to healing itself.

Want to experience this and learn more about it? Come join us in Rewild + Untame before our meeting tomorrow 1/28 to learn live. https://www.herbsoilsandsound.com/rewild-untame

Lots of new faces here, so it’s time for an introduction post again.

I am a prairie girl who finds soulfulness in wide open spaces, swaying grasses, and the land itself. It was this land that called me home after many years away. It is the same land my great-great grandfather cultivated, and it is the land that provides myself and my family sustenance now. It is my passion to care for the land while partnering with our plant allies. It is also my passion to empower others to take control of their health and their life journey by practicing and teaching “grass roots health care.”

I fell into holistic health in my mid-20’s when I started battling mysterious symptoms & health issues and was underserved by allopathic medicine. This led me back to myself, and ultimately my work. I realized early on that if I was going to find my way back to well-being and optimize my health the way I dreamed of, I would have to take radical personal ownership of that process.

This led me to recapturing herbalism, becoming certified as an aromatherapist, being led to become an energy worker, and client work & product creation have been part of that process from early on in my business.

I built my soap business, which ultimately evolved into a full online apothecary, alongside of getting my masters and doctorate in voice performance. I have been a teacher of people since a young age, and this became formalized as I taught at the university level for many years as well as building my own online school in holistic health, offering classes, community, and ultimately apprenticeships in herbalism & holistic health.

A big part of completing the circle of coming back to myself was beginning to work in the realm of healing sound—bringing my musicianship and my healing abilities into a cohesive whole.

Through divine guidance, I have come to understand that I am here for the earth—and to reconnect people back to the cycles of nature and that which truly sustains us: natural light and dark, coherence of our biofield, pure water & food, true community, and realizing our connection to the divine in the process of this. It’s a remembrance & a restoration. (Continued in comments)

Interested in working with me? My offers have expanded for 2026.

The two main ways to work with me are to join the Rewild + Untame subscription community or apprentice with me.

🌿Rewild + Untame is a monthly subscription community that gives you access to my most popular courses, a monthly group gathering, a sound bath library, and is the most accessible way to receive direct mentorship from me.

🌿Rooted Disruption apprenticeship is the first year of my group apprentice, bringing you through a journey of reconnecting and building confidence with your healing gifts, stocking your home apothecary, and getting in touch with your intuition as we build deep relationships with 12 herbs, 12 essential oils, and 12 stones/crystals within a seasonal and circadian framework.

NEW🌞 for 2026 is my twice-a-year Circadian Mentorship, a 7-week reset for your body to nature sync your lifestyle and realign your circadian health. This is KEY and foundational to all processes in the body and is a great way to either address chronic health concerns or optimize well-being from a root-cause level.

🙋🏻‍♀️Additional levels of apprenticeship are available for those wanting to go deeper—Sovereign Harvest group apprenticeship or Sacred Rebellion 1:1 apprenticeship.

📚For those who like to learn at their own pace, many online courses are available on all topics related to holistic health—biohacking, herbalism, aromatherapy, low-tox living, and more.

✨ Expanded. And for those who are local (or open to virtual options), I also offer 1:1 therapeutic work in healing sound, energy work, and therapeutic vocal coaching. 1:1 wellness consultations are also available for those looking to create more leverage with their wellness experience and begin to understand the patterns of their individual bodies to optimize well-being.

If you resonate with this, I would love to hear from you if you have also had the experience of feeling like you don’t quite fit into any of these sub-tribes within the holistic health/natural living spaces.

(And if you don’t resonate with what I am saying, and if you can’t live with having me think something differently than you, please feel free to leave, and I would encourage you to find a teacher who aligns well with your own values).

I am definitely not far left, yet my world view has expanded beyond what much of the far religious right holds as truth.

I love biohacking, but I also love ancient wisdom.

Not witchy, but I do work with the healing arts

Not new age, but acknowledge energy

Not religious, but have a relationship with God

I care about the world, but I am not overtly political in my public work

Love homesteading/self-sufficiency, but also see a mentality of lack

Trust my gut instantly, but also give myself time to form solid opinions (and I give myself the space to change them)

I believe it takes a mature mindset to be able to hold things in tension—the “balance of furious opposites” that G.K. Chesterton talked about (and which is also introduced in the work of other great thinkers). I choose curiosity over dogma.

And that’s why as my work continued to grow in these areas, I knew I had to create my own community as a soft landing space for those wanting a more grounded approach to any of these topics. I invite you to join my Rewild + Untame community to get to know me and keep learning, and for those ready for a deeper journey, consider my Rooted Disruption apprenticeship. DM me to learn more.

If you are paying attention at all to social media, you may be noticing there are a lot of healers that are operating from an ungrounded place.

It’s understandable—those of us that feel called to this type of work are big feelers and highly empathic and compassionate.

And we need to allow ourselves space to feel those feelings and process them.

But we need to be cognizant not to be working, either in our therapeutic work or our marketing of our work, from an ungrounded place. Often this will look like ranting, virtue signaling, or even sharing in an ungrounded way about your own issues and problems.

The solution to this is to become aware of when we are operating from ego/pride, and when we are truly operating from a heart led/gut led space that is operating from service and divine energy.

Secondly, this ungroundedness can also come from having leaky boundaries. This can look like being over-available or over-giving. And it will even feel like the right thing to do, until you one day wake up and realize how burned out and resentful you are, and also how you are not experiencing reciprocity for your work or your efforts.

It is up to us to hold ourselves to the highest standards and having integrity with how we are showing up in our work and in our public places.

Need help with this? Most of us do. This is one of the big things we dig into in apprenticeship (and we help you hold your boundaries when you are feeling tempted to compromise them). Comment “apprentice” below if you are ready to explore what apprenticeship could look like for you.

“New year, new you” really goes against our biology, as I have shared many times. But that doesn’t mean we can’t uplevel our wellness routine in winter. ❄️

Here’s what that looks like, style. 👇🏻

🧘🏻‍♀️Instead of pushing harder in workouts, I let things become more expansive. I take time for recovery, mobility, and fascial maneuvers. My foam roller, vibration plate, sauna, and aromatic recovery baths are all part of the picture in winter, and I don’t always have time to do these things in the summer.

🐰It’s also a fantastic time to let yourself fall into the research rabbit holes you have been dying to fall into. Find out about the wellness topics you have been most curious about. Allow space for exploration, reading, and watching content on these topics. This is a slow down to speed up strategy, ultimately, and will often lead you to places that you may not have been expecting, but at the same time are the answers you have been looking for.

It allows us space to humanely integrate our learning, so that these things are automatic come the busier seasons.

And it allows us some space to get back in touch with our intuition (hint: follow your bliss)

✨ This seasonal approach has been key to re-sculpting a life of vitality for all of my community members & apprentices. If you are ready to create your wellness anew, but you are looking for a grounded, soulful way to approach it, I teach this in both my community and my apprenticeships. Still in the afterglow of our amazing retreat this past weekend.✨✨✨

Participants got to experience restorative yoga, healing sound, learning how to blend their own looseleaf tea, amazing, healthy food, ceremonial cacao, and even got to bring home their own personalized intuitive essential oil blend. New friends were made, and old connections were strengthened. And everyone left quite a bit more zen after a day of restoration and replenishment.

If you would love to create experiences like this, and create a community of folks around you who are looking to upload their lives in terms of a more natural, low tox lifestyle that is connected to the things that truly sustain us, this is what my apprenticeship is all about.

Doors to the first year of apprenticeship, Rooted Disruption, are currently open. This holistic health and herbal apprenticeship connects you to 12 herbs, 12 essential oils, and 12 stones are crystals over the course of a year together. Within our group, we will explore a seasonal and circadian framework for your practice. Wether you are looking to enrich your understanding of your own health and create your health, a new or you are looking to create more facets for your current healing business apprenticeship may be for you.

Think of everything you are putting into the body, surrounding it with, or exposing it to as information that the body is reading.

Some of this information, let’s call it “signaling” is positive. Some is neutral, and some is negative.

When we can start to open our perspectives to see that this signaling encompasses more than just the food we eat or the herbs and supplements we are consuming, we are going to start unlocking the code of the body a lot more deeply.

Two🌞 big areas of signaling that are missed are sunlight and direct contact with the earth (grounding). In fact, these two areas encompass about 2/3rds of the signaling that our bodies are going off of to function. 🌎

💡When we are exposed to artificial light, nnEMF, and dis coherent electrical fields, this is also a signal—and not the kind we want.

This is why when I work with my apprentices, YES, we learn about plant medicine, and YES, we learn about aromatherapy, but this needs to be done within both a seasonal and a circadian framework.

Otherwise, we miss big portions of what the body needs to work optimally, missing out on our own and our client’s deeper results.

Curious about this type of apprenticeship that encompasses not just herbalism but rewilding, circadian realignment, and quantum biology? Comment “apprentice” below or DM me the word “apprentice” to start the conversation. Apprenticeship is 20% off through 1/15/26.

My great grandmother had no formal schooling, degrees, or certifications, but she did know how to work with the plants, and she was a community authority on healing.

How did she learn? 1) Because this knowledge was passed down from experienced healers in her lineage, and 2) because she had hands on knowledge—she got her hands dirty and learned by doing, 3) I am guessing she also had some natural instincts, and that is why she was chosen as this recipient for this knowledge.

🗺️If you feel the call to work with the plants, I want to encourage you to explore. You don’t need permission or a special certification to start playing.

And as you follow your bliss with this, you may reach a point where you are ready to have someone witness your growth and support you in that process. You may want someone to impart their knowledge to you as no doubt my great grandmother did. You may need to learn the science and the safety in a grounded way that helps you sift through the noise.

🚪If you are ready, doors to Rooted Disruption apprenticeship are open, and this container is 30% off through 12/31/25. Comment “apprentice” below to get a no-strings-attached conversation started about your potential apprenticeship.

You want to approach your symptoms naturally. A++

BUT, without understanding the underlying patterns and elemental imbalances within the body that are causing your symptoms, you are going to end up like so many of my clients and apprentices before they started working with me—having a huge cupboard of teas, tinctures, and supplements, and not getting the results you want.

Herbalism has always traditionally been practiced with the whole body in mind.

🔥❄️And, it has always been practiced with some kind of understanding of the body’s energetics and what may have gone out of balance underneath everything to cause the symptoms you are suffering from.

Learning the pattern of your body is key to unlocking the mysteries you have been trying to figure out.

And this comes from mentorship and walking through a full year together where we can see what plant allies are the best to balance out the imbalances wherever we are in the cycle of the year.

For most of my clients & apprentices, this process is liberating and validating. You end up having a deeper understanding of how the body works which will serve you for a lifetime, and you understand WHICH plant allies will be best to nourish your body AND AT WHAT TIME.

🐹If you are ready to get off the hamster wheel of internet herbal trends and start finding the real answers you might not even know you are looking for, apprenticeship may be for you.

Comment “apprentice” below for more info, or reach out to me in the DM’s. Apprenticeship is 30% off through 12/31/25.

Our Story

Prairie Soap House started in 2006 as I began my journey toward more natural means of existence. Having become tired of all of the synthetic components of cosmetic, body care, cleaning, and household products, I began researching more natural, intuitive, and ancient ways of body and skin care. I began making soaps and lotions, using mostly organic, often wild-crafted ingredients. Over the course of many years, I have continued to hone my skills and educate myself more deeply about natural living, incorporating this knowledge into the products I create for my family and yours. Recently I have expanded the business through the acquisition of an alembic still that I use to distill hydrosols and essential oils from plant material gathered from my farm. My products never contain synthetic ingredients, chemicals, preservatives, or unnatural colorants. They always include a bit of alchemy--taking the best of the land and my own intentions--and hopefully crafting a product whose whole is greater than the sum of its parts and which will enhance your life and your health. Thus, I have now added "Apothecary" to the business name as I continue to explore and incorporate elements of herbalism and aromatherapy as well as aspects of wildness and the land into all I am producing, including educational videos and materials. The apothecary continues to expand its reach, as I now have nutritional solutions for weight loss, energy, healthy aging, and athletic performance available along with a wide range of supplementation options. In addition, I now offer various types of in-person and online training. Learn more at www.intuitiveseason.com and www.prairiearomatherapy.com
