Happy November Birthdays! Our monthly celebration of November birthdays coincided with our Thanksgiving gathering, which we shared with family and friends. The Hybner family's sponsorship of the birthday cake is greatly appreciated. We are thankful for the musical entertainment provided by the Kristynik family. Stephanie from Remakable Hospice generously donated an additional birthday cake for November. Our sincere appreciation goes to all who helped make this event a success, including staff and volunteers. The residents had a wonderful time!

✨Therapy Success✨

Mrs. Moore admitted to Shady Oak following a major fall at home resulting in surgery and a hospital stay. She and her family said that they were given several nursing home choices in our area, and chose Shady Oak based on our ⭐️5 Star Rating⭐️!!
Peggy was quickly evaluated for Physical and Occupational Therapy and was very involved in creating goals specific to her needs. Our therapy team instructed, motivated, and encouraged her every step. She made significant progress each week, and her husband participated in transfer and home management education to ensure a safe discharge when the time came.
She was able to discharge home this week- just in time for Thanksgiving with her family. We are so happy she chose Shady Oak for her nursing and rehabilitation needs.
We absolutely love our long-term residents, but it’s always a pleasure to be able to rehab to home and see the progress and success our patients achieve with our skilled therapy team! 💚🤍

Our therapy team had over half of our residents outside on this Lovely Day for a fabulous group exercise session! We got our bodies moving, sang songs/hymns, and we voted and named the kitty that’s been hanging around lately ~ Shady! Kitty picture in the comments! 💚🤍

We extend our warmest congratulations to two of our resident couples on their anniversaries. Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Kram are celebrating an impressive 66 years together, and we are grateful for the delicious German chocolate cake they shared with our residents and staff. We also acknowledge the anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Berckenhoff. Both couples received Anniversary Blessings from Deacon Fishbeck at today's Catholic church service. We wish them many more years of happiness and anniversary blessings.
