Elliott Brown-Service Funeral Home was established in 1935-1937 as the Highsmith Funeral Home. It was operated in a backroom of Vince Sparks Grocery Store. In the early '40s, it was changed to Highsmith Brown Service and in 1957 was bought by Harvey Elliott and became Elliott Brown-Service Funeral Home. The present building was built in November 1961, and Mr. Elliott retired in 1996. The name is the same as it is today and we continue in the same professional tradition.
