The graveside service will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026 at Johnson Cemetery with Josh Curry officiating. If there is severe inclement weather, the service will be held at Lawrence Funeral Home in Moulton.

Born on December 30, 2025 to Joseph and Tiffany Ray Hunt, Holly is also survived by her sister, Nelly Hunt; brother, Blaise Barnes; grandmother, Syrhonda Blade; great grandfather, Duel Ray; great grandmother, Delores Robbins; step-grandfather, Anthony Shoulders; aunt, Anna Leeth; uncles, Chris Robbins and Justin Hunt; and several other extended family.

Holly was preceded in death by her grandfather, Joseph Fred Hunt, Jr. and grandmother, Kimberly Shoulders; great-grandmother, Peggy Ray; uncle, Dustin; and aunt, Holly Leshay Richey.

Pallbearers will be Blaise Barnes, and Chris Robbins.

Ann Parker, 71, of Moulton, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026 at her son's home. A memorial service will be held at a later date with Lawrence Funeral Home assisting the family.

Born on June 3, 1954 to Birtes and Dorothy Parker Hagood, Ann graduated from Lawrence County High School in 1972. She was involved with Relay for Life and enjoyed working in her flower beds and making fried pies for her neighbor, Patrick and for Relay for Life. Ann also liked to play with her dog, Susie, and cat, Pepper, as well as spending time with her son and daughter-in-law.

Survivors include her son, Nick (Teshia) Parker; mother, Dorothy Jean Clayton; sister, Rita Terry; nephew, Keith (Gina) Terry; and several other extended family.

Ann was preceded in death by her father, Birtes Hagood; nephew, Casey Terry; and step-father, Jim Clayton.

The family extends special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Amanda, Raven, Kyle, Otto, and Kimberley; and her caregiver and extended family, Yvonne.

Chad Alan Melson, 39, of Moulton, passed away Monday, January 19, 2026 peacefully at his home. The graveside service will be at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Midway Memorial Garden with Scotty Letson officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing.

Born on November 14, 1986 to Bobby and Melissa Barber Melson, Chad attended Courtland Baptist Church and he loved spending time with his family. He especially loved watching his daughter, Landry, do anything, especially in the band. Chad loved his wife, Aleshia dearly. She was his everything.

Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Aleshia Melson; daughter, Landry (Christian) Hooper; parents, Bobby and Melissa Melson; parents-in-law, John and Donna Simmons; sisters, Christi (Jeremiah) Johnson, and Melissa Melson; brothers, Jason (Ciara) Wiley, and Kevin (Dennise) Melson; niece, Erica Hale; nephews, Dylan (Megan) Turner, Corey (April) Melson; great nieces, Kinsley Melson, and Brooklynn Melson; and other extended nieces, nephews and family.

Chad was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luther and Vernie Melson; grandmother, Peggy Brewington; sister, Bridget Wynn; and nephew, Austin Melson.

Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Johnson, Jason Wiley, Dylan Turner, Christian White, and Nick Coan. Honorary pallbearer is Corey Melson.

Peggy Ann Hazle, 83, of Courtland, Alabama passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026 at Decatur Morgan Hospital Decatur, AL. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 1:00 PM on Sunday, January 18, 2026, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Scotty Letson officiating. Burial will be at Courtland Cemetery.

Born on September 16, 1942, to George and Doris Cole Givens, Peggy was a lifelong resident, tenured employee, and volunteer for the Town of Courtland. She served as the City Clerk for 25 years. After retiring, she continued to serve her community by participating in the Courtland Community Revitalization Committee, serving a term as its president. She continued to give her time to her community after the loss of her only daughter, Ginny Jaggers. Her love for Courtland and the returned love and support she received will forever be a part of her memory.

To know Peggy was to know how proud she was of her family. It was no coincidence Courtland was where her and Harmon started a family of their own. From annual city picnics, to grandchildren's games and recitals, she was there early to get the good seats and take pictures... that would most certainly be shared with her friends. Her home was always warm with family for any occasion. She was a wife, a mother, and grandmother, and a great-grandmother to a family who loves her.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Harmon Hazle; son-in-law, Jerome Jaggers; grandsons, Gil (Samantha) Jaggers, Jordan (Marianne) Jaggers; great-grandchildren, Ellis Jaggers, Wallace Jaggers, Millie Jaggers, George Jaggers, Hank Jaggers, and Virginia Jaggers; and several extended family members.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, George and Doris Givens; daughter, Ginny Jaggers.

Pallbearers will be Gil Jaggers, Jordan Jaggers, Hoot Gibson, Kyle Mangum, Scott Norwood, and Don Hazle.

Honorary Pallbearers are Lee Hitt and John McGregor

Born on August 1, 1959, to Van and Norma Bell Murphy, Tom enjoyed various hobbies such as playing guitar, model trains, Civil War history, and building town-scapes for trains.

Born on May 2, 1949, to J.B. and Lela McDonald Blaxton, Lyndon retired from public safety after 30 years of service to his community. He was a member of Moulton Baptist Church. Above all he loved his wife and family and will be greatly missed.

Born on June 6, 1949 to the late Earl and Lucy Azie Hubbert Rhodes, Carolyn was a student at Wilson High School. Throughout the years she attended Old Liberty Church and Caddo Congregational Church. She loved nothing more than visiting with her grandchildren and following all their adventures and accomplishments.

Born on May 9, 2002, to Paul Labraney III and Heather Labraney, Ash enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved the Auburn Tigers, spending time with his children, and his family. Ash was a jack of all trades, and would build and tinker on anything. He had a love and passion for animals, and one time he even had a pet possum!

Survivors include his mother, Heather (Henry Mears) Labraney; father, Paul Labraney; fiance, Brionna Abbott, two children, Salem Labraney and Cooper Labraney; sister, Gabriel (Skylar) Labraney; brother, Johnathan (Ashleigh) Davis; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Born on July 14, 1938, to Travis and Maudie Sandlin Wallace, Arber was a member of Liberty Untied Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, spending time with her family, and spoiling grandchildren.
