Lurdean Wilson McCreless, 89, of Moulton, Alabama passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loved ones. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Tuesday, September 02, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home with Larry Crumpton officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.

Born on January 23, 1936, to Alfred and Synthia Mote Wilson. Lurdean enjoyed listening to gospel music, crocheting, gardening, cooking, and spending time with family. She was also a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her children, Blair (Wanda) McCreless, Diane (Clinton) Bradford, and Ronnie (Patricia) McCreless; grandchildren, Justin (Kendra) Bradford, Josh (Katherine) McCreless, Wes Bradford, Kemmy (Jada) Baker, Jeanna (Neal) Brown, Kellye (Rachel) McCreless, and Haley (Mitchell) Prestage; great-grandchildren, Madalyn McCreless, Brendon Bradford, Maddox McCreless, Raelynn McCreless, Braxton Bradford, Mason Bradford, Josie Bradford, Mayleigh McCreless, Rhett (Cassidy) Brown, Kaden Warren, Scarlett (Dalton) Ray, and Eli Warren; her beloved dog, Buddy; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Lurdean was preceded in death by her husband, James McCreless; parents, Alfred and Synthia Wilson; four brothers; and two sisters.

Pallbearers will be Justin Bradford, Josh McCreless, Wes Bradford, Mitchell Prestage, Zach Bradford, and Brad Bradford.

Honorary Pallbearers are Brendon Bradford, Maddox McCreless, Braxton Bradford, Mason Bradford, Eli Warren, Kaden Warren, Rhett Brown, and Dalton Ray.

James "Larry" Parker, 71, of Hillsboro, Alabama passed away Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. Visitation will be from 2 PM to 4 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 4 PM with Chris Parker and Bro. Neil Fowler officiating. Burial will be at Caddo Cemetery.

Born on March 19, 1954, to Aaron and Marjorie Hitt Parker. Larry enjoyed woodworking, tinkering, and his favorite thing, spending time with his grandchildren. Larry was deeply loved by his family and will be greatly missed. Larry was a Hospice nurse for many years, and loved giving compassionate care to his patients.

Survivors include his wife Sharon Beaver Parker; children, Chris (Priscilla) Parker, Jamie (Brandon) Pitt, Kirk Alexander, Alicia Alexander, Caitlin Alexander, and Will (Katie) Alexander; grandchildren, James (Megan) Parker, Bailie Parker, Whit (Kayleigh) Parker, Briley (Clayton) Perry, Landon Pitt, Olivia (John) Warren, Lindsay Arnold, Macayla Alexander, Wyatt Roberts, Greer Alexander, Griffin Alexander, Kannon Barnett, Ari Turner, Aubrey Alexander, and Major Alexander; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Parker and Dell Parker; and extended family.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Aaron and Marjorie Parker.

Pallbearers will be Brandon Pitt, Kirk Alexander, James Parker, Whit Parker, Clayton Perry, and Landon Pitt.

The family extends special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and NHC rehab.

Stetson Troy Jones, 2, of Priceville, Alabama passed away Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at Children's Hospital in Birmingham, AL. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Parkview Baptist Church in Decatur. The funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Parkview Baptist Church with Bro. Larry Dyar officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Corinth Missionary Baptist Cemetery in Moulton.

Born on June 12, 2023, to Dylan and Lauren Adams Jones. Stetson was full of life. He made everyone smile and his laugh was contagious! He enjoyed playing with his big brother, friends, and family. He loved being outside, going to church, singing & dancing. He will be missed dearly, but his sweet spirit will live on around us. His short time here made a great impact on everyone who loved him. We know he's now in the arms of Jesus, and we will see him again.

Survivors include his parents, Dylan and Lauren Jones; brother, Deacon Jones; paternal grandparents, Connie (Tim) Ellis; maternal grandparents, Steve and Sandy Adams; great-grandparents, Evon and Max Shelton, Autry Russell, Betty Adams, Chris Ortner, and Billie Powell; aunts, Lexie Jones, Natalie (Jeremy) Walker, Amanda (Jeremy) Peek, April Grimes, and Whitney Ellis; uncle, Nick (Amber) Ellis; and extended family.

Stetson was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, Luther Adams, Richard Ortner, Joel Jones, and Fred Powell Jr.; and great-grandmother, Saundra Russell.

Faye Jefferys, 93, of Hatton, Alabama went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 26, 2025, while at NHC Healthcare, Moulton, Alabama. Visitation will be from 11 AM to 12 PM on Friday, August 29, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church in Hatton, Alabama. The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Dan Compton officiating and Lawrence Funeral Home directing. Burial will be at Hardshell Cemetery.

Faye was born on April 22, 1932, to Jim Irvin Isbell and Allene Zula Hagood Isbell. She served in many capacities at her church and other helping ministries in the Hatton community. She loved gardening and particularly loved growing and sharing her flowers. She shared the blessings God had given her with family, friends and strangers. She was a faithful wife and mother. She taught us many things by her words and deeds. She was always ready to help when people were in need. Faye graduated from Hatton High School. She will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her sons, Steve (Joan) Jefferys and Terry (Penny) Jefferys; grandchildren, Jeremy (Erica) Jefferys, Jayna (Shannon) Childers, Lindsey (Jonathan) Gray, Wesley (Janan) Jefferys; great-grandchildren, Sudie Faye, Rutley and Rovely Mae Gray, Sawyer Jefferys, Houston and Carley McCutcheon, and Isaac Childers; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Faye was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Woodie Jefferys; daughter, Deb Lovelady; parents, Irvin and Allene Isbell and stepmother Carrie Isbell; sisters, Zula Barnett and Eula Allen; brothers, Junior Isbell and Walker Harvey Isbell.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Jefferys, Wesley Jefferys, Jonathan Gray, Houston McCutcheon, Sawyer Jefferys, and Ronnie Blankenship.

Honorary Pallbearer is Shannon Childers.

Born on February 18, 1950, to J.W. and Virgie Kelley Johnson. Barbara and her husband, George founded Old Time Gospel Fellowship in Hillsboro. She enjoyed floral arranging, listening to gospel music, and watching Gunsmoke and Swamp People.

Survivors include her daughter, Amanda (Steven) Sweatt; grandchildren, Christopher (Holly) Stricklin, Carlena Webster, Daniel Smith, and Craig Hagood; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Smith, Annie Smith, Kaylee Smith, Kayden Tucker, and Eli Tucker; brother, Samuel "Buddy" (Martha) Johnson; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, George Stricklin; parents, J.W. and Virgie Johnson; sisters, Mildred Melson and Audrey McGinnis; brothers, Robert and Wendell Johnson; sons, Donnie Stricklin, Carlon Stricklin, Joey Stricklin, and David Stricklin; and daughter, Bonnie Stricklin.

Born on September 28, 1932 to the late Odie and Jannie South Roden, Delois enjoyed sports, especially the Atlanta Braves and Alabama Softball. She also enjoyed watching game shows, sewing, quilting and going out to eat with her family.

Survivors include her sons, Delton (Rita) Lawrimore, and Phillip (Lisa) Lawrimore, grandchildren, Lucius (Adrienne) Lawrimore, Landon (Chelsea) Lawrimore, Bradley Lawrimore, Wesley Lawrimore, Nakisha (Kelly) Blankenship, Ashley (Jeremy Hood) Bradford, Chelsea Lawrimore, and Macy (Kyle) Gunn; 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Grisham; brother, Curtis (Rachel) Roden; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Born on October 6, 1961 to the late JP and Shirley Cartee Early, Tink was a genealogist who had researched and written many books for families in Lawrence County. He loved his family and spending time with his six great-grandkids. Tink also loved hiking in Bankhead and simply being outdoors.

Survivors include his daughter, Judy (Chris) White, grandchildren, Jasmine (C**t) Parker, Jathan (Caitlin) Greer, and Lexy (Quin) Rothwell; great-grandchildren, Stetson Parker, Sterling Parker, Jasper Greer, Elizabeth Greer, Sutton Parker, and Haven Greer; brothers, Jerry (Cynthia) Early, and Johnny Early; nephew, Xander Early; cousin, Mitzi Cartee; and other extended family dear to his heart.

James was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Tim Early.

Born on January 25, 1967 to the late JP and Shirley Cartee Early, Tim loved cooking, drawing, attending antique car shows, and even restoring some old cars. He also loved to go fishing, hiking and just being outdoors. Most of all, he loved being with his family and wrestling with his nephews and nieces every time he had the chance.

Survivors include his brothers, Jerry (Cynthia) Early, and Johnny Early; niece, Judy (Chris) White, nephew, Xander Early; great nieces, Jasmine (C**t) Parker, and Lexy (Quin) Rothwell; great-nephew, Jathan (Caitlin) Greer; four great-great nephews; and two great-great-nieces; and extended family dear to his heart.

Survivors include her husband of 4 years, Fletcher V. McKelvey, Jr.; children, Klinton Grider, Decota King, and Ashley McCollum; grandchildren, Brayden Shelton, Kayleigh Shelton, and Rose McCollum; brother, Eric King; her goodest boy, Gabriel McKelvey and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
