Our new state-of-the-art facility opened in May 2013 and is fully equipped with the latest technology in muscle performance evaluations, concussion management, and much more. The Vereen Center is staffed by the highest quality certified athletic trainers, physical therapists, and occupational therapists who have the resources and skills to directly treat and care for athletes. The mission of the Vereen Rehabilitation Center is to provide athletes a safe return to physical activities.

Meet Sabrina Shumans, COTA/L!

Sabrina has been a licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant for 19 years — and we’ve been lucky to have her at Vereen Rehabilitation Center for 17 of those years!

When asked what she enjoys most about her work, Sabrina shared, "What I enjoy most about my job is being given the opportunity to help patients achieve their personal goals rather that be in the work place, home, community, or sports; regain their independence! Working at Vereen Rehab has also given me the chance to serve the community I proudly call home!"

Meet Stella Wingate, PT, DPT!

Stella is a dedicated Physical Therapist who has been proudly serving the Colquitt County community for over 20 years at Vereen Rehabilitation Center. With certifications from the Aquatic Therapy & Rehab Institute (ATRIC) and LSVT BIG for Parkinson’s Disease, she brings both expertise and compassion to her work!

What drives Stella is the personal connection she builds with each patient, the variety of challenges she encounters daily, and the joy of seeing meaningful progress. Living and working in the same community allows her to stay close to her family while making a real impact on her neighbors' lives.

Meet Beth Middleton, PTA!

Beth is a dedicated member of our team with nearly 30 years in the physical therapy field. She began her journey as a PT tech at Colquitt Regional in 1995 and has been a valued part of our team since graduating in 1998.

Beth loves building relationships with her patients and helping them get "back in the game" of life! For her, Vereen is the perfect fit—close to home, with a welcoming, hometown feel. She enjoys seeing familiar faces both in the clinic and out in the community.

We’re proud to have Beth as part of the Vereen Rehabilitation Center family and are thankful she has made us her for employment!
