🏀 March Madness fun at its best! 🏀

Our residents brought their A-game to the 9th annual March Madness Oxford Showdown Shoot-out! They competed against all other Oxford communities and scored an impressive 2nd place finish! 🥈

More importantly, they had a fantastic time competing, cheering each other on, and enjoying every moment. We couldn’t be prouder!

Nothing brings people together like great food and great company! 🥔🎉

Thank you to Zane and Amber from Ascend Hospice for helping us treat our hardworking staff to an amazing baked potato bar. It was a fun and delicious way to show appreciation for everything our team does each day.

We had a shamrockin’ good time celebrating St. Patrick’s Day! ☘️💚

Our residents enjoyed delicious green Shamrock shakes, festive decorations, and an incredible musical performance by Ken Page, who had everyone singing along and smiling with his keyboard and vocals. 🎶

We also had so much fun with our “Twin Day”—staff and residents paired up in matching outfits! 👯‍♂️

A huge thank you to our Life Engagement team for making the day so special.

Meet Rebecca, one of our amazing Caregivers and CMAs! 💙

Rebecca has been part of our community for 15.5 months, and she truly loves what she does. She says one of her favorite things about working here is seeing our residents laugh—and according to her, they laugh a lot because of all the fun activities and joyful moments shared every day.

Rebecca has been married to her husband Brian for 38.5 years (they met in high school ❤️), and together they’ve built a beautiful family with 4 children and 24 grandchildren! Both proud Kansas City natives, they’ve stayed close to their roots.

Fun fact: Rebecca originally became a nursing assistant to help pay for her accounting degree—and she did earn her associate’s! But along the way, she discovered her true passion in caregiving, and 35 years later, she’s still making a difference in people’s lives.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, fishing, and going to the shooting range. We are so lucky to have Rebecca as part of our team!

🥧 Pie Day Fun at Oxford!

At Oxford, we work hard—but we also know how to have fun! In celebration of Pie Day, our residents and staff members had the chance to pie Robb, our Maintenance Director ; Jen, our Resident Care Director and Wiktor, our Executive Director right in the face. And they didn’t hold back! 😄

There were lots of laughs, plenty of whipped cream, and a few very messy staff members by the end. Most importantly, our residents had an amazing time.
