Coming up on current summer & fall harvest, a fairly inexpensive preventative maintenance item to do on both over the road or ag equipment is to separate the charge air cooler & pressure wash all components out good. It can help AC systems blow cooler & prevent unwanted engine overheating in a busy time when down time matters. This pic is an example of what you can find behind your charge air cooler. Using air helps but will not clean it like separating & pressure washing.

Big problems with this DT466. Eroded liner orings led to coolant in oil which ended with overheating and scored liner/piston = inframe overhaul.

It is important to test your antifreeze to make sure levels stay where they need to be. It only takes a minute and can prevent a major issue with block corroding/pitting.
