What's Cooking at Harborview?

Residents had a "sweet" time baking up some Valentine's Day cupcakes, with the Activity Department and Therapy joining forces to help our residents step-by-step, from mixing the batter to decorating afterwards. From the liners to the sprinkles, the heart theme was in every aspect of the process! Residents Donna (pink glasses), Ann (burgundy shirt), and Wanda (flower shirt) all did a great job along with the rest of the group. We hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day. 💙✨

✨Employee Spotlight! Meet Heather Blackburn, our Director of Nursing! Heather has been with us here at Surry beginning in 1996, starting her medical career as a CNA after receiving a flyer in mail from Surry Community College and deciding to pursue it. She is a self-described Army brat and has lived all over the place before settling down in Mount Airy with her husband Jeff, who works here as well in Central Supply. In her free time, Heather loves spending time with her three children, seven grandchildren, and four Dobermans!
