Surry Medical Associates – Spreading Hope in September
September is National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, a time to rally together to raise awareness, support research, and uplift those affected by ovarian cancer. This disease is known as the deadliest of the gynecologic cancers due to its often vague and overlooked symptoms—and the lack of a reliable early screening test makes community education all the more vital.
Symptoms may be easy to dismiss but can include persistent bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, feeling full quickly, frequent urination, or fatigue. Know the signs—and insist on evaluation if they persist.
Download and use the FREE awareness toolkit—packed with symptom trackers, family health history guides, and educational graphics to share.
Host or support local fundraising and awareness events, such as team walks, endurance challenges, or creative community activities.
