In Winston with Becky Barker. Her fistula wasn’t allowing the dialysis treatment to proceed as needed so I had to rush her down here to get this fixed. She’ll have a makeup treatment tomorrow morning.

Everyone, please please keep Becky in your prayers. Her kidney doctor called me after trying to contact her while she was at work. Even though her thyroid and parathyroid surgery was successful, her phosphorus levels have risen and are very high. I’ve already lost my Dad this year, now I’m having to deal with the stress of my wife’s health having complications. I love my wife more than anything and want nothing but for her to be as healthy as she possibly can. Becky is my whole world and I need her, I don’t know what I’d do without her. We fight every so often but at the end of the day I love her no matter what. Again, please keep her in your prayers. She is going through so much and she’s not even 29.

I love you, Princess.❤️

Becky Barker had her reevaluation for a kidney transplant Wednesday and she was approved once again, this time being told she’s further up the ladder for receiving a transplant.

Becky Barker will see a surgeon tomorrow for her throat. At least 1 thyroid gland will need to be removed, this will help bring her numbers down so her body can be better regulated in phosphorus. We are still looking for an individual who is willing to donate a kidney, it will allow my sweet wife to have a better quality of life. She’s my everything and I love her more than words can describe.❤️

Becky will be getting her fistula cleaned out tomorrow. She’s doing well with dialysis although it does take a toll on her body, fistulas have to undergo routine maintenance to ensure they’re functioning properly.

We are still in search of someone who is willing to donate a kidney. If you are interested and would like information on how to become a donor, please contact Becky or myself (Joseph).

Just wanted to update everyone on how Becky is doing. She’s been doing ok, dialysis takes a toll on her body just like anyone else. But, she’s a strong woman. We are still looking for a living kidney donor. If you are interested in getting checked to see if you could be a match, please message one of us and we will get you all the information you need. Thank you.

If anyone is in need of living donor questionnaires please let Becky Barker or I know. We have 6 available. We’re still in search of a living donor to get Becky a quality kidney. Thank you.

April is National Donate Life Month. This month is spent encouraging others to become a donor. Becky has stage 4 kidney disease (this is the simplest terms) and is in need of a kidney. She’s on the kidney transplant list. A kidney from a living donor can sustain life much longer than one from a deceased donor. So believe me when I say I know how important it is to become a donor. And if anyone would like to become a donor, please message Becky or myself and we can point you in the right direction, provide you with any information you need. My wife is my everything.

Becky is doing well with dialysis. She had a mild blowout two treatments ago. She did, however, fall last night when walking toward the house from the car. Her ankle is broke but the most that would need to be done is have ONE screw inserted into the foot. Best case scenario she just needs a hard cast and the ankle will heal.

Becky is doing well. Dialysis treatments are going great. There have been instances of mild complications but they were taken care of. A kidney transplant is still the optimal choice as it will allow her to no longer need dialysis and get back to a fully normal life. If you are interested in learning how to become a living kidney donor please let Becky or I know and we’ll be happy to give you the information you need. Help my wife get back the quality of life she once had. Thank you.

Just wanted to say Becky is doing ok. She’s at work. Dialysis takes its toll on her the days she has it and sometimes the day after. She’s my strong warrior and I love her dearly. We are still in need of someone willing to donate a kidney to her so she can have an improved quality of life. I love her dearly. 💖

We are still waiting for a kidney to be found. Becky’s dialysis treatments have been going well aside from the side effects. She had a blowout Tuesday but the nurse was still able to use the arm. No damage to the fistula, she’s just sore.

Becky had to go to the Dialysis Access Group in Winston last week. Her fistula was clotted to the point it became nearly unusable. The medical staff was surprised the dialysis center was able to do anything with it the week prior, it was that close to being closed up. They had to balloon it four times and everything is working as good as new. Had the ballooning not worked, she would’ve needed a catheter implanted again and dialysis done through that until another fistula would be implanted and recovered from surgery. I’m very thankful to God we didn’t have to go that route. We are still looking for living donors as I have been told I need to lose weight in order to be a donor of any organ at all. I’m back into exercising but we would love it if someone could get themselves checked too to see if they’re a match and could extend my princess’s quality of life. Thank you ❤️

Becky is officially active on the kidney transplant list ❤️❤️❤️

10/16/2021

Becky received a letter yesterday from Blue Cross saying they’ve approved to cover her kidney transplant 100% ☺️❤️🥰😭

10/15/2021

Becky’s medicine had to be changed because of elevated phosphorus levels. For some reason all of her kidney doctor’s patients are having high phosphorus issues at the moment. Other than that everything else comes back normal in the bloodwork.
