On Thursday, October 3 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church will be hosting a drop off for emergency relief supplies for those affected by Hurricane Helene.

Examples of needed items:
MREs (meal-ready to-eat), non-perishable food items, baby formula, diapers, baby wipes, hygiene supplies, personal grooming items, batteries, pet food, blankets, cleaning supplies & buckets, hand sanitizer.

This effort is being led by Montgomery County police officer Will Schnetzler. Officer Schnetzler (Will) is working with a long-time friend and fellow Iraq veteran, Ben Rucker, to take the supplies to Hepzibah Baptist Church in Bridgeport, WV, which is involved in staging and networking to send supplies deeper into affected areas. Will and Ben are also taking specialized 4x4 vehicles that can reach areas where roads are damaged and are coordinating with local fire departments to bring supplies to those cut off from support.
