Fascia is a web-like tissue that surrounds and connects everything in the body—muscles, bones, organs, and more. In newborns, this tissue is especially soft and responsive. Because they’re still growing and developing, any stress or strain from birth—like a tight position in the womb or a difficult delivery—can affect how their fascia moves and how dense it becomes. This can sometimes show up as things like difficulty turning their head, feeding issues, elimination issues, or general fussiness. Gentle bodywork or therapy can help release this tension and support healthy development of their body and movement patterns for optimal development 😊
