Public health works behind the scenes every day to help keep our community safe and healthy.

From making sure restaurants follow food safety standards, to providing vaccinations, to preparing for emergencies, public health is involved in many of the services people rely on every day.

Even when it goes unnoticed, these efforts make a difference across our community every day.

We are proud to support the health, safety, and well-being of those we serve. ❤️

🚨 DINO NUGGET ALERT – CHECK YOUR FREEZER 🚨

The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service has issued a public health alert (not a full recall) for certain frozen dinosaur-shaped chicken nuggets due to possible lead contamination.

🦖 Product affected:
• Great Value Fully Cooked Dino Shaped Chicken Breast Nuggets
• 29 oz bag
• “Best if used by” date: Feb 10, 2027
• Lot code: 0416DPO1215
• Establishment number: P44164

⚠️ Why this matters:
Testing found lead levels up to 5x higher than what’s considered safe for children.

👶 Higher risk for:
• Children
• Infants
• Pregnant women

⚠️ Important:
• These nuggets were sold nationwide (including Walmart)
• They are no longer in stores, BUT may still be in your freezer

🗑️ What to do:
• DO NOT eat them
• Throw them away OR return to the store for a refund

💬 Friendly reminder:
Always double check your freezer when you see alerts like this—especially with foods our kids eat often!

🌿 Spring is here — and so are the ticks! 🕷️

With warmer weather comes more time outdoors, especially for mushroom hunting and hiking. While you’re enjoying the woods, remember that ticks are active and can carry diseases.

✔️ Wear long sleeves and pants
✔️ Use insect repellent
✔️ Stick to clear paths when possible
✔️ Do a full tick check after being outside

Don’t forget to check pets and gear too! Stay safe and enjoy the hunt 🍄🌲

✨ March Message: Why Breast Cancer Screening Is Pure Gold ✨
March is a great time to remind ourselves that breast cancer screening is pure gold 💛
Early detection saves lives. When breast cancer is found early through routine mammograms, treatment options are often less invasive and outcomes are significantly better. Screening isn’t just a test — it’s peace of mind, empowerment, and a powerful step toward protecting your health.
But screening is only part of the journey.
If you receive an abnormal screening result or a breast cancer diagnosis, you are not alone. Our patient navigation services are here to guide and support you every step of the way. From understanding your results and scheduling follow-up appointments to connecting you with resources and answering your questions — we walk beside you throughout the process.
💛 Screening is strength.
💛 Early detection is powerful.
💛 Support makes all the difference.
If you have questions about screening or need support after an abnormal result, reach out. We are here for you.
