🧠 Program Overview
The Nurse Aide Training Program (NATP) at MHA is our flagship course—recognized for excellence across Michigan. This 90-hour program blends lecture, lab, and clinical instruction to prepare students to deliver basic healthcare services under the supervision of an RN or LPN in both acute and long-term care settings.
Upon successful completion, students are eligible to take the State of Michigan Competency Evaluation Exam. Passing this exam places your name on the Michigan Nurse Aide Registry, officially launching your career as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).

🎯 Program Objectives
Our curriculum aligns with state and federal standards and prepares students to:
• Build meaningful relationships with residents
• Communicate and interact with empathy and professionalism
• Support residents’ emotional, social, and mental health needs
• Promote functional independence and residents’ rights
