Thank you to everyone that took action!

Updated text for the reconciliation bill revealed that the outrageous proposal to increase FERS contribution rates to 15.6% for future postal employees has been successfully removed. Once again, this is a direct result of action taken by NALC and our members.

The Senate is considering increasing Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) contributions from 4.4 percent to 15.6 percent for all postal employees hired after Jan. 1, 2026.

It is with a heavy heart that we have to announce the passing of one of our greats. Eddie Potonac or “Fast Eddie” as he was lovingly dubbed by his coworkers was a member of our union for 67 years. Eddie was quite the character and definitely made this world a better place. He will be sorely missed. Our condolences go out to his family, especially his loving wife Sylvia.
