We are so grateful for everyone who joined us to celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Carlson. It was a beautiful day filled with laughter, memories, and love — from bouncy houses and snow cones to live music and games, we know Doc would have loved every minute of it.

A special thank you to all the families who came out, and to every staff member and volunteer who helped make this event possible.

We also want to recognize his beloved wife Gail and their children, whose strength and grace were felt throughout the day. 💙

🌟 Thank You for Celebrating Dr. Carlson's Life With Us 🌟

We are so grateful for the amazing turnout at Dr. Carlson’s Celebration of Life. Seeing so many families laughing, playing games, enjoying snow cones, popcorn, cotton candy, and having fun on the bounce houses was exactly the joyful tribute he would have loved.

A heartfelt thank you to his wife, Gail, and their children for allowing us all to share in such a special day. Their strength, kindness, and love were felt by everyone.

The live music added such a beautiful, meaningful touch to the event—thank you to the talented musicians who helped create such a warm atmosphere.

Thank you to every family who came out to honor his memory. Your presence meant so much to us.

And to the incredible staff, volunteers, and friends who helped set up, run activities, and make the day so special—thank you. We couldn’t have done it without you.

In Loving Memory of Dr. Elmer Thomas Carlson

June 16, 1944 – July 8, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Dr. Carlson, who left us peacefully today at the age of 81.

Dr. Carlson was one of the very first pediatricians in Lake County, Florida, and a true pioneer in children's healthcare in our community. His dedication to helping others knew no bounds—he gave selflessly to his patients, his colleagues, and the place he proudly called home.

He was a man of great compassion, generosity, and integrity. Above all, he deeply loved his wife, Gail Carlson, his children and his grandchildren. His family was the center of his world.

For generations of families, he was more than just a doctor—he was a source of comfort, wisdom, and kindness. His legacy will live on in the lives he touched and the community he helped build.
If you or your family would like to leave a note, letter, or memory in his honor, we welcome you to drop them off at our office in the coming days. We will ensure they are shared with his loved ones.

A funeral service to honor Dr. Carlson’s life will be held on Saturday, July 26th. More details will be shared as they become available.

Lake Pediatrics will continue operations as usual, and we remain committed to carrying on Dr. Carlson’s mission of compassionate, dedicated care for every child who walks through our doors.

Thank you, Dr. Carlson, for your years of unwavering service. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
