🌡️🤧 The first couple weeks of school are always tough—new classrooms, new friends, and unfortunately… new germs! It’s completely normal for kids to catch a few bugs this time of year as their immune systems adjust.

👉 Remember:

Encourage handwashing often 🧼

Keep kids home if they have a fever 🤒

Make sure they’re staying hydrated and getting plenty of rest 🛏️

💙 At Lake Pediatrics, we have same-day sick appointments and telehealth visits available to help care for your child quickly and conveniently.

🚑 Unless it’s a true emergency, give us a call before heading to the ER. Most common illnesses can be seen right here in our office, saving you time, stress, and extra costs.

☀️ Florida heat is no joke this time of year! 🌡️
Please remember these important tips to keep your little ones safe:

💧 Hydration is key – encourage your kids to drink water throughout the day, even before they feel thirsty.
🥤 Electrolytes matter – after playing outside or sweating a lot, a small electrolyte drink can help replenish what’s lost.
🚗 Never leave children in the car – even a few minutes can be dangerous in Florida heat. Always double check the back seat.
🧢 Dress light & cool – breathable clothing, hats, and sunscreen are your friends.
🕒 Plan outdoor play smartly – mornings and evenings are cooler and safer than mid-day.

We want all our Lake Pediatrics families to have a fun, safe summer!💙
