We offer one-on-one therapy sessions, group sessions, and entertainment services. Mount Dora Music Therapy was founded in 2016 by Amanda "Beau" Carbary. Beau completed their Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy through the SUNY Fredonia School of Music in 2010, with a minor in psychology. They completed their 6-month music therapy internship with Buffalo Hospice and Palliative Care, and has been a practicing board-certified music therapist since 2011.

Our Story

Mount Dora Music Therapy was founded in 2016 by Amanda (Ana ) Carbary, who is a music therapist in the Mount Dora, FL area. In 2011, she received her degree in music therapy and psychology while majoring in voice at the SUNY Fredonia School of Music in New York. Her primary level of expertise as a therapist is with geriatrics and terminally ill clients, and she is currently in the process of receiving her Hospice and Palliative Music Therapist (HPMT) specialty credential. While the main focus of Mount Dora Music Therapy is providing music therapy services, we also offer music lessons and Ana, on occasion, serves as a paid soloist for different functions. In keeping with the competencies of the music therapy profession, all genres of music are utilized by Mount dora Music therapy, so to accommodate the various musical preferences of our clients. The current official repertoire of Mount Dora Music Therapy is about 1300 songs and spans 12 languages, with more being added all the time.
