Coming Soon on ABC6: A Town Hall with Maryhaven Experts

Get ready for a powerful conversation featuring Maryhaven leaders as expert providers and a spotlight on Mobile Response & Stabilization Services (MRSS) - a state-funded, FREE mobile mental health crisis support service for youth under 21 across Ohio.

MRSS teams, including licensed clinicians and peer-trained parents, respond to crises within 60 minutes in schools, homes, or community locations.

Available statewide by calling 1‑888‑418‑MRSS (6777) or emailing ohiomrss@mha.ohio.gov.

This Town Hall - hosted by ABC6 and community leaders - will explore the impact of MRSS in real-time and how Maryhaven is helping families connect with care.

Stay tuned to hear solutions in action and learn more ways this critical program is supporting our communities.

Maryhaven recently participated in the first-ever Franklin County Behavioral Health Leadership Academy - a new, six-month peer learning cohort organized by the ADAMH Board of Franklin County and Mental Health America of Ohio.

Our team joined 16 other leaders representing 12 agencies in central Ohio, all working to sharpen skills in team building, effective supervision, and creating caring, high-retention workplace cultures.

Middle managers are often the unsung heroes of mental health care - shaping organizational culture and directly impacting staff satisfaction and client outcomes.

By supporting these leaders across the ADAMH provider network, including Maryhaven, we’re strengthening the local behavioral health workforce that serves Columbus residents every day.

Investing in leadership means investing in people. When supervisors feel equipped and valued, frontline staff stay longer, build stronger relationships, and deliver better, more consistent care to community members in recovery.

At Maryhaven, our promise is rooted in people - not just policy. We are proudly growing stronger, together, so our community always has the support and stability it needs.

We’re proud to share that today, during the “Together Summit: Building Resilience in Human Services” at Columbus City Council Chambers, President & CEO Oyauma Garrison and Maryhaven’s Patient Care Coordinator Daryl were invited into Council Chambers to share Maryhaven’s insights and solutions as panel experts.

Held by Councilmember Melissa Green, the event focused on how organizations, policymakers, and community leaders can collaborate to strengthen behavioral health services across Columbus.

Maryhaven deeply values opportunities like this - engaging in honest dialogue, sharing what works, and advocating for meaningful change in our community. We’re thankful for Melissa Green’s leadership and for all of the thoughtful questions that helped spur actionable conversations.

If you care about mental health, addiction recovery, or strengthening local services - we invite you to be part of the conversation.

Let’s work together to build resilience and support those in need, at both state and federal levels, because when services like Medicaid expansion face threats, it's individuals working toward recovery who stand to lose the most.

We were overjoyed to host a beautifully warm baby shower at Maryhaven’s Women’s Residential Program, graciously sponsored by the ADAMH Board of Franklin County.

It was a heart-centered gathering of healing, community, and new beginnings.

Just one week later, we celebrated with the proud mom - the baby is healthy and safe, and the joy in that room was palpable. Watching her strength and commitment to recovery unfold fills us with pride and hope.

At Maryhaven, no one does this journey alone. Milestones like these remind us that recovery isn't just possible - it’s transformative.

Thank you to everyone who made such a meaningful moment possible.

We are thrilled to share that because of your generosity, our 2025 Individual Giving Campaign raised over $20,000! That means we can provide more medication, welcome 10 more clients into treatment, and offer the meals, shelter, and care they need to begin their healing journey.

In this video, hear from our Board Chair, Abby Morrison, Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager at Bank of America, as she shares her “why” - and our deepest gratitude.

Every dollar you gave is already making a difference.

Maryhaven is proud to have been part of the two-year collaboration that brought a lifesaving Naloxone vending machine to the lobby of the Delaware County Jail.

Together with the Sheriff’s Office, OhioMHAS, and local partners, we're ensuring 24/7 access to opioid overdose reversal—because access saves lives and every community member deserves the chance to recover. 🙌

We will continue to share more about this vital addition to our community’s harm reduction efforts and how you can help support life-saving initiatives.
