MARCA Industries, Inc. congratulates Angie Obenour on her graduation from the 2025-2026 Leadership Marion program offered by the Marion Area Chamber of Commerce.
Angie has worked at MARCA Industries for 12 years in a variety of roles. She is currently the director of adult services.
Angie was honored for completing the Leadership Marion program during a graduation ceremony on May 15 alongside her fellow 2025-2026 classmates.
“Leadership Marion was truly one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve been part of,” Angie said. “It gave me the opportunity to connect with incredible leaders across our community, grow both personally and professionally, and gain a deeper appreciation for all the amazing things happening in Marion.
“I’m walking away inspired, motivated, and grateful for the relationships and experiences the program provided. I would absolutely encourage anyone looking to grow their leadership skills and community involvement to participate in Leadership Marion.”
The 2025-2026 Leadership Marion class took on the mission of securing funding for the following community projects in Marion County: Drug-Free Marion mural, bicycle repair stations across Marion County, and the Leapin’ Outreach Center, which serves people in need.
Angie is the fourth member of the MARCA Industries team who has completed the Leadership Marion program. CEO Michelle Albertini, Business Development Director Jamie Hawkins, and Program Coordinator Manager Jason Marcum were previous graduates of Leadership Marion.
“We are proud of Angie for reaching this milestone in her career,” MARCA CEO Michelle Albertini said. “Angie loves serving people and selflessly gives of herself to help people. She is a valuable asset to our team and to the communities we serve.”
Angie is a native of Marion County and alumna of River Valley Local Schools. She worked in her family’s business for nine years before joining the staff at MARCA Industries in 2013. Angie and her partner, Chad, have two sons. She is a small business owner outside of the work she does at MARCA Industries.
According to the Marion Area Chamber of Commerce website, the Marion Area Leadership Program was initiated in 1991 by a group of citizens concerned about the lack of new leadership in the community. As Marion continued to grow and develop, it was felt that there would be a need for a continuous pool of individuals to fill diverse leadership needs throughout the community.
Since its inception, over six hundred individuals have participated in the Marion Area Leadership Program. Each of these individuals was sponsored by an organization in the community, typically the individuals' own employer. The diverse list of sponsors includes businesses, industries, educational institutions, health care providers, social service agencies, and government entities.
