Mill Race Village’s iconic celebration, The Witches Ball, will not fly into Mount Holly this Fall. After many hours of conversation internally, and, guided by the good counsel of the Township Police, the support of the municipality and an abundance of caution, this year’s event will not move forward as planned for the first Saturday of October.
Our town-wide costume party with visitors moving shoulder to shoulder, venue to venue, celebrating together is just too high risk making the decision to cancel our event at this critical time to protect the health of all the right decision. There is no higher priority for us than the health, safety and physical well-being of the event’s volunteers, visitors, vendors and artists. Of course, without the sights and sounds of Witches Ball the first weekend of October in Mount Holly just won’t be the same; but, as the organizers of this event we must stand in solidarity with the collective effort to curb this global pandemic, and we will must do our part to ensure it happens.
As an event committee our hearts go out to the those who have been affected by COVID-19; and we continue to appreciate the bravery of our healthcare and frontline workers. The event committee is setting their sights on 2021 to start planning the best Witches Ball ever, so stay tuned to the website & social media for Witches Ball 2021.
