Little late (very late) on this post, but I wanted to share this accomplishment.

Last June I decided to challenge myself by signing up for a half marathon. I ran track and cross country in high school but since then I've been a casual runner; running 3 or 4 miles now and again for general fitness.

I realized that I had become complacent with my fitness routine and wanted something to push me out of my comfort zone. Running 13 miles seemed appropriate.

Thanks to for the training runs! And congrats to my amazing wife for training less than me and still beating me. 😂

Unfortunately, I didn't reach my goal of sub 8 minute miles, but it leaves room for improvement!

ACL Reconstruction: Intro to Plyometrics

It’s always fun to begin moving like an athlete again after an ACL reconstruction.

So you're not an athlete... Can you still receive treatment from Kinetix?

What shoes should you buy?

Arch supports, high heels and even the curve at the toe of your shoe all force your foot into an unnatural position, disabling the natural function of your foot. There is a time and a place for more supportive shoes, but the goal should be to move towards a more minimalist shoe that allows your feet to move and function the way God intended. Here are some of my favorite shoes and why I like them. Any shoe brands that you love that I'm missing?

Landmine Press

If you're experiencing pain with overhead press, try this alternative exercise. If you don't have full shoulder range of motion and you force yourself into overhead presses, you'll likely find yourself dealing with an injury at some point. Address your shoulder range of motion but in the meantime stay strong with the landmine press.
