Access to the ski area will be closed on Monday, May 29 because we will be taking down the lift towers from Mt. Hood Express. We ask that everyone respect the closure and stay out until at least 3 PM. We will have the webcams pointed toward the lift for those who would like to see the action.

One of our top priorities at Meadows is to enrich the lives of our Team. While we take pride in already being an industry leader in compensation and employee safety, we are announcing today significant changes to wages and overall compensation as we continue to strive, every day, to live up to our mission statement:

• Base pay increasing to $15/hr., $2.25 an hour above Oregon's minimum wage for Hood River County
• $1.25/hr. wage increase for all Team members, except the Executive Team
• $200 vaccination incentive
• 70% discount at quick serve restaurants for all Team members
• Daycare provided for Team member children at a cost of $25 per day

The demand for outdoor recreation is high, and these investments will help address that demand this season and beyond, as well as providing more livable wages to our loyal and passionate Team. Read more about these changes on our blog at the link below, and if you're interested in joining the Meadows Team, stop by our Job Fair in Hood River this Saturday, October 30 from 1-5 PM at the Best Western Plus Hood River Inn.

On behalf of the entire Mt. Hood Meadows and Cooper Spur Mountain Resort Team, we want to sincerely thank you for your patience, compliance, and loyal patronage during this challenging season.

Beyond COVID, what has made this season so historic for us, is your resilient response to the pandemic. We operated 142 days this season with no COVID interruptions and more importantly, no traceable workplace transmissions at Meadows or Cooper Spur.

We thank our guests for acknowledging that our first priority is the health and wellbeing of our team. Without our team there would be no season. The vast majority of our guests, especially our season pass holders, respected and complied with our COVID protocols. You reviewed our operational plans and planned accordingly to do your part to keep our season going. You wore your mask. You listened and even shared that message with others – reminding them that we are all in this together.

You understood our decision to open on a Monday following Thanksgiving, so as not to endanger our season by stumbling right out of the gate. Our team appreciated so much being able to put our plans to work in preparation for the next weekend’s crowd. One of our greatest concerns was accommodating the passes and vouchers from the previous season during the first three weeks of operation. And while that challenged us – it also forged us. We honed our plans to better anticipate and manage each day’s turnout. Thank you for understanding and giving us the space we needed to make corrective actions.

We are grateful that La Nina blessed us with early snow – and that our mountain teams were able to open so much of the mountain. From opening day, we could open terrain from the bottom of Hood River Express to the top of Cascade. Having that much mountain helped spread us out and helped created an epic on mountain experience.

We appreciate all our day and night guests who purchased their tickets, rented their equipment and reserved lessons online, allowing us to prepare for your arrival and expedite getting you to the slopes.

We are so grateful that we had Sahale this season – to provide a more efficient use of space and allow more room in our existing lodges to accommodate our team. We can’t wait for next season when we’ll be able to welcome you into our buildings for a more complete and comfortable experience.

Last fall we all knew things would be different, but we were confident that if we all worked together, we would have a great season. With your trust, cooperation and sacrifice – it’s been a great season.

You were patient. You were flexible. And you were kind.

Thank you for making our season and we can’t wait to see your smiling faces again.

Face masks required! No mask - no lift ride. Yes gaiters when double layered and worn snuggly to cover both the mouth and the nose are allowed. But we really need everyone to get on board and wear their masks or gaiter correctly when in our lift lines. PLEASE - cover both the mouth and the nose!

Thanks to all who are complying - our season depends on all of us working together to keep each other healthy. And it all starts with appropriate face coverings.

Read about our mask requirements, what qualifies as a mask covering and how to wear them on our website:

Due to an unfavorable weather forecast, we are cancelling Memorial Day weekend operations. We don't want to provide anything less than an awesome experience and we don't believe the conditions will allow for that this weekend.
