Our team of medical professionals has years of experience in their respective fields, and are constantly updating their skills to stay current with the latest medical advancements. We are committed to providing the highest quality care to our clients.

This week in the Veltex spotlight is Summer Smith.
Summer has been a dedicated member of the Veltex team for about a year and a half. She began her journey with Veltex as a Behavioral Health Technician, where she provided direct support and compassionate care residents at the facility. Her strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to resident well being led her to transition into her current role as a Medical Assistant. In this position Summer continues to support both residents and staff through her professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine passion for helping others in their recovery journeys.

Summer wanted to share this...
"I am 2 years 4months in recovery myself and I work at Veltex because I want others to know that healing is possible. I'm here to be the person I once needed, to offer hope, support, and a reminder that every step forward, no matter how small, matters."

This weeks spotlight shines on Tiffany Workman!
Tiffany works at Veltex as a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT). She is a 35yo mother of 4 beautiful daughters. Tiffany has struggled with Substance Use Disorder the majority of her life and has been through many different programs, until she was presented with the opportunity to participate in our program here at Veltex.

Tiffany would like to share the following...
"Veltex did so much for me and helped me become the best version of myself. It taught me things & gave me hope again. I knew the day I graduated that I wanted to come back and work here. I am currently working towards my PRSS (Peer Recovery Support Specialist) certification & I feel like I have found my place in life! I chose this line of work because I wanted to give back what was given to me. I want to show people that recovery is possible! I also enjoy watching the growth of each woman that walks through our doors & I hope to be an encouragement & example."

Veltex would like to thank you Tiffany for the work you do and the life you live in recovery. The way you show up for yourself and for others, changes lives in ways you may never fully see. Your courage, compassion, and consistency make this facility hopeful for the future of all of the residents. This week in the Veltex spotlight, is our counselor, Jarrod Martin!
Jarrod would like to share the following:
"Hello. My name is Jarrod Martin. I am a lifelong resident of Raleigh County, WV and have been working in the mental health field for the last few years. I have a Bachelors degree in Bible and Theology as well as a Masters degree from Appalachian Bible College in Mount Hope a Masters in Divinity as well as Counseling from Liberty University. Currently I am pursuing a Doctorate from Liberty as well as.
I have been married for over 21 years to my lovely wife who is a successful local photographer and we have 7 children, 3 of which we adopted. I am passionate about helping people regain their sense of purpose and self, and wade through their trauma and stories to help them reach their full potential in their recovery journeys. I do this by meeting with them on a regular basis for one on one sessions as well as multiple group classes per week. Its my privilege to serve the women here at Veltex."

Jarrod has been a wonderful addition to the Veltex team. He has such a soft and caring nature that really helps the residents relax, open up, and share, which really helps the healing process for each individual resident. Jarrod brings compassion, care, and laughter onto the campus here in Mount Hope. From telling dad jokes to just being witty, he heals not only with knowledge but with laughter.🥸 Veltex would like to thank Jarrod for bringing all of those things through the door each day he comes to work. 💐

This week in the spotlight is Misty Moore. Misty works at Veltex as our Kitchen Manager.

She wanted to share the following with the community:
"Working at Veltex is more than a job - it is a calling, a purpose, and a privilege. Every day I walk through the doors, I'm reminded that I'm stepping into a space where hope is rebuilt, trust is restored, and lives are reclaimed. It's a place where people show incredible courage simply by choosing to try again and being able to stand with them in that process is one of the greatest honors of my life."

Misty has dedicated her life helping others overcome barriers and being an incredible advocate for those she serves. She also serves as the Director of an addiction ministry called Project HOPE (Helping Other People Elevate) at Heart of God Ministries under the leadership of Bishop Fred T. Simms. Project HOPE is also one of Veltex's many community partners.

Veltex would like to thank Misty for showing up to work each day with a positive attitude, full of compassion and care and for being such an amazing addition to our staff.

Meet Cassie Staten. Cassie works in our medical department as a LPN and our Nursing Supervisor and she wanted to share the following...

"I have had the honor of working at Veltex Recovery Group as the Nursing Supervisor for a little over a year now. I am a 33 year old mom to one daughter. I am currently attending New River Community College to further my nursing education. After completing that in December 2026, I will be pursuing my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree. I have worked in SUD treatment for around 8 years and I absolutely love it, it's my passion. I have the opportunity to provide a safe space where clients will get the quality care they deserve, with no judgement. It makes my heart happy to see all of the success, hope, and courage we're able to provide to our clients as a whole facility. I truly believe in second chances, even if you need a 3rd or 4th. I will forever strive to be the compassionate nurse that I would want to take care of my family."

Cassie is an amazing part of the Veltex team and we are so happy to have her with us. Not only does she bring medical knowledge and experience - she brings a warmth and compassion with her that can hardly be matched. We at Veltex want to thank you, Cassie, for ALWAYS being that safe space for those who need it.
