We choose better fuel for our vehicles to run properly and last longer, and we should employ that same approach when it comes to fueling our bodies. Food is your body’s fuel. You are what you eat. When I don’t have the time to make breakfast, this is what I have. Vanilla non-fat Greek yogurt with fruit, almonds and a cup of orange juice. Fast and easy. This equates to approximately 30g of protein, in addition to all the other good stuff our bodies need ✨

“I don’t want to build muscle. I just want to tone up.” “Toning up” typically involves losing body fat while building muscle, unless you are at your target weight and want to appear more toned in which case you’re still building muscle to achieve that goal. Ladies, don’t be afraid to lift. if you think you’ll look like a female bodybuilder, follow one and see what their calorie and supplement intake and training schedule is like. If you start exercising, eating healthy and weight training now, you will notice a big difference by summer. Not only will you be able to see it, but more importantly, you’ll feel it. 💪

I received a message from someone seeking motivation to exercise. That’s what we all need. Whatever we do, we do because we are motivated to do it. Bruce Lee began studying martial arts when he was 13. He opened his own school as an expert 9 years later, by the age of 22. He passed away from an allergic reaction to medication given to him for a headache when he was 32. He was very fit and his body fat percentage was 5-6%. He trained daily. He is my idol, always has been, and the best to ever practice the sport, imo. Find something you are passionate about that drives you to be fit, whether it be weight training by itself strictly for health reasons, or another sport you train your body for. Find something that inspires and motivates you to make your health a priority and you’ll remain committed to that goal 💪❤️

I saw my first Bruce Lee movie when I was 6 years old and that’s what motivated me to practice and train by age 7, open my own Martial Arts school after moving to the valley, and influenced my entire life. Do it for yourself. Don’t do it for someone else. Don’t do it to be fit for a time to impress someone else. If you do it for yourself motivated by something you’re passionate about, it won’t be temporary, and you will continue to do it, and form healthy habits that will last a lifetime. A habit can be formed in 1 to 6 months. Keep going until it becomes a habit! Your body will thank you, and hopefully, you’ll live a longer and healthier life because of it ❤️💪
