Each Monday we will be working to introduce you to a Member of APTA TN’s Knoxville District. We are excited to introduce you to other PTs/PTAs in the area and would love to highlight you or your colleagues.

Dr. Don Reagan DPT, OCS, SCS, CSCS

Beyond the titles, my passion lies in bringing different fields together to help people perform at their best! I'm double board-certified in Orthopedic & Sports Physical Therapy and have a fellowship in Higher Education Leadership. After serving as Knoxville District Chair for three years, I now work with Carson-Newman University Athletics and teach in their Exercise Science program.
Having practiced full-time in outpatient settings for 10 years (and taught 25 grad students!), I've also been a faculty member at four different universities, covering everything from PT to athletic training and S&C.
What truly excites me is interdisciplinary collaboration. I've seen firsthand how the best insights come from where different fields meet—like anatomy and psychology, or biomechanics and motor learning. My favorite clinical tool is a dry erase board because I believe our most powerful tool is communication and the best PT/PTAs that I have been around happen to also be excellent educators.

‼️Attention‼️
We need action from you to help us get some bills passed. This one is The Optimizing Postpartum Outcomes Act. This will raise awareness of the availability and importance of pelvic health services, particularly Pelvic Health Physical Therapy, for postpartum women.

If you will contact your senator asking them to create a companion bill for H.R. 4074 and sponsor it upon release. Also contact your representative and ask them to co-sponsor H.R. 4074. If you can include how this personally affects you or your patients.

Below are the links to help you find your senator and representative. This is a quick and easy way for you to advocate for the profession. Please fill free to message us if you need help creating an email to send or if you have any questions.
