Kids Are Great Dental

Kids Are Great Dental Pediatric and Orthodontic Dental Practice The dental practice was established in 1992 by Drs. Gina Lodolini and Neil Capolongo.

In 1996, the addition of Dr. Maritza Bianchi made our dynamic trio complete. Our building was constructed in 1882. The Amuso family members were the first to inhabit the building and call it home. Since then our building has housed several families, has been the site of employment for several professional offices and has even withstood a fire! In 2003, it was restored and remodeled into the Kids Are Great Dental building.

Happy Easter! 🐰🌸

Wishing you a joyful and meaningful Easter as you celebrate this special day with family and loved ones.

A gentle reminder from our team: when it comes to Easter treats, sticky and sour candies tend to cling to little teeth and can lead to cavities, while chocolate melts away more easily—making it a more smile-friendly option. 🍫✨

After the celebrations, be sure to end the day with a good brushing to keep those smiles healthy and bright. Wishing your family a blessed, happy Easter! 🦷💛

It’s officially Spring Cleaning season! 🧹

While you’re scrubbing the floors, don’t forget to scrub the germs away. If your child’s toothbrush looks like a fuzzy caterpillar (frayed bristles), it’s time for a new one! Aim for a fresh brush every 3 months.

: Is your water fluoridated? Community water fluoridation is the process of safely adjusting the natural fluoride level in public water to the optimal amount for preventing decay.
If you have well water or only drink bottled water, please let us know at your child's next appointment. We can discuss other easy ways to ensure your child gets enough cavity protection!

Cleats? Check. Helmet? Check. Mouthguard? ...Wait! 😱

As you’re checking off your spring sports gear list, don’t forget the most important piece of "equipment" your child wears: their smile!

A store-bought "boil-and-bite" guard often feels bulky, making it hard for kids to breathe or talk to their teammates. Our custom-fit sports guards are:
✅ Slimmer and more comfortable
✅ Easier to breathe and speak in
✅ Maximum protection against chipped teeth and lip injuries

Give us a call to schedule a quick fitting before the first whistle blows!

We get it—pacifiers and thumbs are a lifesaver when it comes to soothing your little ones. In the early years, it’s a perfectly natural way for babies to explore and comfort themselves.

But when does a "cute habit" become a "dental concern"? We generally start paying closer attention to these habits around age four. If the habit continues past this age, it can sometimes start to affect how the teeth and jaw develop.

Please make sure you talk about your child's habits with their pediatric dentist.

Happy World Oral Health Day!
March 20th is a global reminder that a healthy mouth is essential for a healthy body.

Prevention is always the best path! We understand that coming in for a check-up can feel stressful, but our goal is to prevent the need for more complex procedures. By taking a proactive approach, you avoid the inconvenience and worry of major dental work later on.

Use today as a reminder to make sure you are up-to-date with your semi-annual hygiene visits.

Stop the toothpaste overload! 🙅‍♀️🦷

Are you using too much (or too little) for your little one?

👶 0-3 years: SMASH that rice-sized smear!
👧 3+ years: Perfect PEA-sized dollop!

When it comes to complex procedures like a full tooth rebuild, experience matters. We combine technical expertise with a gentle touch to ensure the results are both functional and "remarkably brilliant."
