We had a wonderful time at our first annual Family Council Meeting! Families from both Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living came together to discuss positivity, share thoughtful suggestions for improvement, and take part in an educational presentation from Guidestar Services. Guests also enjoyed light refreshments from the Pie Shoppe in Mt. Pleasant; always a crowd favorite! Thank you to all of the families for being such strong, compassionate voices for your loved ones. Your involvement truly makes a difference!

Please join us in congratulating Lisa Fosbrink, CNA as our March 2026 IMPACT Award winner! Lisa brings 30 years of experience at Harmon House to our front-line nursing team. Her residents and colleagues have nominated her for her dedication to our facility, which is shown through her willingness to come in early and/or on her days off, and bringing good spirits and teamwork. We thank Lisa for her many years of contributions to our community and her consistent flexibility and positive attitude. Congratulations, Lisa! Well-deserved, and thank you for making an IMPACT.

This month, the Port of Call is Lima, Peru! Lima is a longstanding, historic city rich in culture and attractions for tourists to see. Founded on January 18, 1535, by Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro, Lima was given the nickname “The City of Kings” because the discovery date was close to the Epiphany, a popular Christian festival. Today, Lima is home to over 8 million people, and hosts a blend of cultural and architectural influences from the different civilizations over the years.
