This profession changes you in ways you do not talk about.
Reshare if you have felt this too.

There was a time when organic chemistry felt like it was standing between you and your entire future.

One day it will just be a story you laugh about on your way into work as a practicing PA!

If you are in the thick of it right now, save this and keep going.

What the PA journey looks like online vs what it actually feels like.

If you are in the middle of the hard part
the doubting part
the waiting part
this is your reminder that it still counts.

Save this for the days you need perspective.

The best holiday weekend! IRL meeting with , foster events with and lazy Sunday with my best boy turning 7!

How do we feel about Dave’s coat?

It’s not a holiday dinner unless someone pulls you aside to say, “Since you’re going to be a PA… can you look at this real quick?” 😭

Every pre-PA knows the struggle.
One dream and suddenly you’re the family’s medical hotline.

If this is your family too, drop a 🎄 in the comments.

Your CASPA essay is not a diary entry.
It’s not a resume.
And it’s definitely not the place for vague clichés or “I’ve always wanted to help people.”

There are non-negotiables I will never let a pre-PA submit because they instantly weaken your application:

❌ Fluff:Saying a lot without saying anything.
❌ Trauma dumping: Sharing painful stories without tying them to professional growth.
❌ Shadowing play-by-plays: PA schools don’t need a recap of your day; they want insight.
❌ Hero language: “I saved the patient” is a fast way to signal immaturity.
❌ Empty generalizations: “I love medicine,” “I’m passionate about helping people,” etc.
❌ Rants about the healthcare system: Instant red flag.
❌ Anything you can’t defend in an interview: if you write it, you must own it.

Your essay should show:
✨ emotional maturity
✨ clear reasoning for choosing the PA profession
✨ self-awareness and reflection
✨ how your experiences shaped you (not just what you did)

The applicants who get interviews aren’t the ones with the fanciest stories…they’re the ones who write with clarity, honesty, and direction.

🚨 BREAKING NEWS: CASPA rolled out a brand-new user experience for 2026, and if you’re confused… I break it all down in this video so you know what to expect. 🎓💛

Healthcare will stretch you in ways most people never see.

You can walk into an exam room smiling…
while your personal life feels heavy, chaotic, or completely overwhelming.

But that doesn’t mean you’re weak.
It means you’re human.
And it means you’re showing up with more strength than you realize.

To every PA and pre-PA carrying a lot right now…I see you.
You’re allowed to have hard days.
You’re allowed to take breaks.
You’re allowed to be someone outside of the scrubs.

Comment and share with your healthcare friends if this hits today.
