I am thankful for the support from the clinic for the Tennison Health Fair. It was a great success this year. We gave 34 flu vaccines. I want to especially thank Hannah Tyler and Brenda Amador for being willing to give up their Saturday to give flu shots to kids. Many people in the clinic helped make it a success, including Suzan and Paula for making sure we had everything we needed. Nicole redid the consent forms to reflect the current date and correct lot numbers for this year’s vaccine. Without all the support we wouldn’t be able to do it and I really appreciate it. -Kathy Sanders, Pediatric Nurse Practitioner

I’m so grateful to work at The Pediatric Clinic. It’s such a wonderful place filled with people who truly love kids and care deeply for this community. I’m especially thankful for Dr. Henry, Dr. Rice, Dr. Iyamah, Kathy, Jennifer, Meredith, Suzan and Kate for all they do for our team and our patients every day. They’re constantly thinking of ways to make things better for our patients- new programs, new ideas, and better ways to serve our families. The clinic does so many fun things throughout the year to keep work enjoyable and to make us all feel appreciated and special. It’s been such a blessing to be back here working after a few years away, and I’m reminded daily how special this place and this community are.

* Riding on a bike
* Skating/skateboarding
* Horseback riding
* ATV riding
* Snow sports (not much luck in Texas)!

Friendly reminder!
* Almost 25% of kids get cavities before age 5
* Brushing your child's teeth should begin as soon as they erupt
* Most of the time kids need help brushing teeth until they can tie their shoes well
* Avoid juice, sticky candy, processed foods
* Dental visits should occur every 6 months
